In the IDW continuity, the Yuu Clan was a powerful samurai clan during the Muromachi period. It was led by the daimyō Ashikaga Yuu, who was on his way to becoming shōgun. It was under his orders that his men unsuccessfully attempted to kill Takeshi Tatsuo, an act that led directly to Ashikaga's murder.
After Ashikaga's death, the Yuu clan vanished completely.
