Yoshi Chen is the jōnin of the Dog Star Clan and an opposing force to Oroku Karai and the Foot Clan.
History[]
Yoshi Chen is the descendant of Oroku Daigo, one of the four sons of Oroku Saki. When Tadami killed their other brothers Randou and Masaie, Daigo pledged service to Tadami under his leadership of the Foot. However, Daigo disappeoved of Tadami's leadership and felt he could not betray his brother, so he escaped to China and began his own splinter cell of the Foot, which eventually became the Dog Star Clan. Like the Foot, the Dog Stars eventually diluted into a standard, if potentially shady, business. Learning of Karai's efforts to reinvigorate the Foot Clan inspired Chen to do the same to the Dog Stars, but he also intended to overtake the Foot and bring it into his command as well. Chen hired Karai and the Foot to steal a piece of Utrom technology from Chincha Technology. However, this was somewhat of a ruse, as he was having his own men in the Dog Star Clan actually in place to take the tech while the Foot Clan warded off the security as a distraction, and also to test the skills of the Foot. With the Foot's defeat and Karai's near-fatal beating at the hands of his underlings, Chen declared to Doctor Bond that they were not a threat to his operations. After Karai recovered, her forces attempted to gather intelligence on the Dog Stars. Casey Jones, Clyde, and Natsu shook down the biggest gang that the Dog Stars were skimmming from, Blood Lightning, pinching their cashflow hard enough to get their enemy's attention. The three of them fought one member of the clan and after Clyde struck a damaging blow, he blew himself up. Meanwhile, Krisa searched every database she could to dig up more info.
Feeling like Casey, Clyde, and Natsu's way wasn't getting results fast enough, she decided to aim higher and pressed someone named Tanaka Danno for answers on the Dog Star. The following morning, Karai returned to her apartment to find a hologram of Chen in her home. Chen told her that her efforts to get them noticed by the Dog Star had worked.
