Xever Montes, aka Fishface is a mutant fish and a prominent enemy of the Ninja Turtles. He is also a thief and street punk in the service of Oroku Saki and the Foot Clan.

This version of Xever Montes is branched off from his original version in the 2012 TV series. His history before the events of Panini comics is the same as that of his animated version.

Appearance[]

His appearance as Fishface is a large unidentified crimson-red carp-like fish with yellow eyes and thin stick-like arms, with webs between his fingers. He has a large dorsal fin with a chunk missing from the front. His stomach area is white, and his mouth is full of sharp teeth, especially two large ones sticking out of it. He was modified a pair of silver-colored high-powered metallic legs, as well as an orange breathing rig.

History[]

A Slice of Luck[]

Fishface makes his debut in the comic A Slice of Luck. To prove his worth, he assures Shredder that he has a plan for locating the Turtles' hideout. He manages to trick the Turtles into accepting a pizza that, unbeknownst to them, has a tracker stuck to the box. Fishface then leads a contingent of Foot Soldiers into the sewer tunnels as he follows that signal. Unfortunately for him, kindhearted Michelangelo has given the box with a slice of pizza inside to Leatherhead. Fishface and the soldiers rush into the place they think is the lair only to wake Leatherhead, with disastrous results.

Seriously Serious[]

A leg malfunction causes Fishface to begin kicking himself, saving the Turtles the trouble of fighting him.

Truth Hurts[]

Fishface and Dogpound try a new trick in their efforts to learn the location of the lair. It very nearly works on Raphael, but fortunately the other Turtles are there to save him.

Own Worst Enemy[]

Shredder has sent Fishface and Dogpound to the docks to pick up a weapons delivery. The pair argue the entire time, finding the mission an insult and each blaming the other for being a failure. Because of their own fighting, Leonardo and Raphael have been sent out on a mission by Splinter so they will learn to work as a team. They come up against Fishface, Dogpound and Foot Soldiers and soon find themselves at a disadvantage. Coming up with a new plan of attack, the Turtles taunt the other pair of mutants and cause them to turn on each other.

Thief in the Night[]

Sent by Shredder on a mission to steal the legendary Nakatomi sword from a museum, Fishface finds that the Turtles have arrived to thwart his plans.

Secret Weapon X[]

A pair of Purple Dragons are preparing to attack the Turtles when they overhear them talking about a new 'secret weapon'. Worried that this weapon could prove extremely destructive, they pass the story on to Hun. Hun passes it to Fishface, who tells Rocksteady, who then tells Tiger Claw. The story grows with each telling until Tiger Claw adds his embellishment as he tells the Shredder, who declares that the weapon shall be his. He gathers a small army, which includes Fishface, and goes out to confront the Turtles. They all quickly learn that playing the 'telephone game' usually means something innocuous becomes very exaggerated.
