World Trade Center
The World Trade Center, or the Twin Towers were two skyscrapers on the Manhattan Island in New York City. They were destroyed in a terrorist attack on September 11, 2001 ("9/11"), when two hijacked airplanes were crashed into the buildings, resulting in fires that soon caused both buildings to collapse. The attacks and collapse took the lives of 23 members of the New York City Police Department (NYPD), and 343 members of the New York City Fire Department (FDNY).
TMNT appearances
World Trade Center.
- In the TMNT VS the Mousers story of the Mirage Comics, Baxter Stockman threatens to destroy the buildings.[1]
- In the episodes Enter The Fly[2] and The Big Blow Out, of the 1987 TMNT cartoon, the buildings appear.
