Willie Wombat is the mascot of a family-oriented "dinner and a show" pizza parlor bearing his name, Willie Wombat's Pizza Pan Theatre. The animatronic designed after Willie plays a significant role in the 1987 TV series episode "Phantom of the Sewers".
History[]
Willie Wombat's Pizza Pan Theater was devised by two businessmen, Rufus Higby and Bogart Flywheel, the latter of whom designed the animatronic theater troupe that would entertain guests there. Higby got greedy and tried to end the partnership, but Flywheel refused and fought him off. After Higby threw a "chemical" (purple paint) at Flywheel, causing the latter to assume he'd been disfigured, he fled and began living in the sewers.
Higby used the animatronics by day to keep his business running, but by night, they would rob banks. Equipped with lasers mounted in the wrists, as well as being much stronger and more durable than humans, the animatronics knocked over forty banks in the span of less than three months.
Learning of some of this puzzle from April (but initially suspecting Flywheel of the crimes), the Turtles head to Cityville Bank, one of the few untouched by the troupe, to stop the robbers. They are astonished to find Willie Wombat, Elmo Elephant, and Cassius Cow approaching, and are beaten soundly by their superior technology. Michelangelo, however, finds a dumpster and rolls it at full force towards the three animatronics, destroying them. Unfortunately, the rest of the troupe arrives, forcing a retreat.
