[Opening sequence and theme song.]
[Pan down from the city to the Turtle Lair and Splinter’s room. Splinter and Leonardo are meditating when there is a loud thud and the room shakes.]
Leonardo "What in blazes?"
[It happens again and Leonardo heads out to investigate. He finds his brothers lifting weights at a large weight machine.]
Michelangelo "Oh, dude. How much longer do we have to do this?"
Donatello "You know what they say. No pain, no gain."
Leonardo "Hey, fellas, do you mind? Master Splinter and I can't meditate with all this racket."
Michelangelo "You don't have to ask me twice."
[Splinter suddenly has a vision.]
Splinter "Master Mogo-San?"
Mogo-San "Yes, Hamato Yoshi. It is I, your sensei. I have chosen this telepathic means of communicating with you for a request."
Splinter "Tell me and I will obey."
Mogo-San "I will be arriving today by sailing vessel at precisely three o'clock. I humbly ask that you meet me at Pier 17."
Splinter "I would be honored, Sensei."
[As Splinter prepares to leave the lair, Leonardo brings him a coat.]
Leonardo "Here, Sensei. Slip into this coat."
Splinter "I leave the lair so rarely. Such an old-fashioned style might attract attention."
[In an aside to Michelangelo…]
Raphael "Right, like his rat tail wouldn't?"
Donatello "And this hat tops off the outfit perfectly."
Splinter "Thank you, my students."
Leonardo "You sure you don't want us to come along?"
Splinter "No, Leonardo. This is something I must do by myself."
[He leaves. Later, in the Technodrome, Shredder and Krang watch one of April’s newscast.]
April O'Neil "This is April O'Neil here at the Mid-City Bank, scene of the most recent theft committed by the notorious Black Heart Gang, who have been terrorizing the city for weeks with their vicious criminal rampages. With me is Mr. Crocker, president of the bank. These films, taken by the bank security video camera, show the gang's incredible ninja skills. This is the ninja gang's leader, known only as Yoku."
Mr. Crocker "The Mid-City Bank has posted a reward. If you have any information as to the gang's whereabouts, please contact the police."
Krang "I have a better idea. We'll find that Black Heart Gang ourselves and put them to work for us."
Shredder "My thought precisely, Krang. With a gang of highly-skilled ninjas like those at my side, you and I could rule this city. I'll head for the surface immediately."
Bebop "Uh, wait, boss. We wanna come with you."
Rocksteady "Yeah, we're just itching for a good fight."
Shredder "The only thing that's making you two baboons itch is not taking a bath. Now, stop pestering me, and make yourselves useful."
Bebop "Uh, what are we gonna do, Rocksteady?"
Rocksteady "I don't know, Bebop. Let's think about it."
Bebop "Do we have to think? It makes my brain hurt."
Rocksteady "Mine too. But a rhino's gotta do what a rhino's gotta do."
[A ship pulls up alongside Pier 17.]
Splinter "Three o'clock precisely. As always, my sensei is meticulously punctual."
[Mogo-San descends from the ship.]
Mogo-San "Hamato Yoshi? Are you here? These ancient eyes can barely see in this darkness."
Splinter "I am here, Master Mogo-san. And I am indeed honored."
Mogo-San "What is this? Are you in some sort of disguise, Hamato Yoshi?"
Splinter "If only that were the case, Master."
Mogo-San "But h-how?"
Splinter "I will explain it all. But first, Sensei, tell me what brings you to these shores."
Mogo-San "A mission of utmost importance, my student. Behold the sacred white belt of the Mogo clan. I plan to pass it on to my grandson Yoku."
Splinter "The same Yoku who came to these shores to study with me some two years ago?"
Mogo-San "Precisely. I will need your help in finding him."
Splinter "It might be difficult. Once his schooling was completed, he vanished without a trace."
Mogo-San "Oh, he will be impossible to find in a city of this size."
Splinter "Do not lose faith, Sensei. Come with me to the sewers. I am certain the Turtles can locate your grandson."
Mogo-San "Sewers? Turtles?"
Splinter "I will explain on the way."
[Back in the Technodrome, Bebop and Rocksteady are keeping busy buy painting the walls.]
Rocksteady "Boy, is Shredder gonna be surprised when he finds out we painted this place."
Bebop "Yeah, and such a cheery shade of yellow."
Rocksteady "Yellow? Ooh! I'm painting it blue."
Bebop "Hey, forget it, man. Blue is for wimps."
Rocksteady "Well, yellow is for-- for-- yellowbellies."
Bebop "Yellow, yellow, yellow."
Rocksteady "Oh, yeah--?"
[He swings his fists and manages to overturn the ladder he’s on. At the same time, Bebop falls off of his ladder, too.]
Bebop "Whoa!"
[The paint spilled from their cans mix to create green. Both mutants sit up.]
Bebop "I could live with green."
Rocksteady "Yeah, green ain't bad. Even if it is the color of turtles."
[Splinter and returned to the lair with Mogo-San. Splinter introduces three of his sons.]
Splinter "Michelangelo, Raphael, and Leonardo."
Mogo-San "I am honored."
Leonardo "It is we who are honored, Master Mogo-san. Sensei has told us of your incredible ninja skills."
Mogo-San "[chuckles] Alas, they have diminished with age, I fear."
[Donatello enters the room carrying a tray of food.]
Donatello "Ta-da! I prepared a tray of sushi for our-- Whoa!"
[He loses his balance and accidently flings the sushi into the air. Mogo-San swiftly grabs one of Leonardo’s katana and whips it around, managing to stick the blade through all of the sushi before they hit the floor.]
Leonardo "Wow. I don't believe it."
Raphael "He made a sushi shish kebab."
Mogo-San "As you know, I have journeyed here in search of my grandson Yoku."
Raphael "The one who skipped out on Master Splinter?"
Donatello "Uh, I'm afraid he's made a bad career choice.
Take a look at this."
[He goes to the television and places a cassette into the player.]

April "This is the ninja gang's leader, known only as Yoku."
Mogo-San "My own grandson. Involved with a criminal gang. How could he dishonor the name of the venerated Mogo clan?"
Splinter "Rest assured, the Turtles and I will personally investigate these charges."
Mogo-San "I will accompany you."
Splinter "No, Master, it is best that you remain here. Come, my students. We must hurry."
