Lord Noriyuki's army recuperates from a fight with the Mogura Ninja clan. Meanwhile, General Usagi, the TMNT, and the Neko Ninja clan encounter dangerous clockwork spiders as they near Dr. WhereWhen's fortress! But are the mechanical foes the only ones prowling the forest?

Synopsis[]
Ichiko and her father are walking in the forest when her father smells oil in the air and the vibration of something of a vast quantity approaching. They are soon confronted with WhereWhen's robots. They fight as hard as they can, but Ichiko first falls, and then her father.
Some distance away, Ame stands on a cliff worrying about Usagi and the others who have taken the fight to WhereWhen. Lord Noriyuki approaches her and then Counselor Horikawa approaches him. Horikawa insists they continue to confront Lord Hikiji and Noriyuki argues that they need to bury their dead and care for their wounded after the Mogura Ninja attack. Horikawa shoots back that the shōgun wants Hikiji dead as soon as possible. He thinks that Noriyuki's orders are insulting to the shōgun and by staying put, they continue to be a target for the Mogura. Noriyuki puts his foot down and says they are staying one more day to tend to their wounded and dead. Noriyuki has the footmen double the sentries around their camp in preperation. He then turns to Ame and asks if he made the right decision, but she says it is not her place to question his orders, but at the same time, she would not respect any decision than the one he had made. In addition, she feels like there is more danger in their current surroundings than at Hikiji's palace to the north.
Meanwhile, Usagi, Jotaro, Yukichi, the Turtles, and Neko Ninja finally spot WhereWhen's castle. Raphael notes that it has a weird metallic sheen to it. Chizu notes that she has sent some Neko Ninja scouts before them but they have not yet reported back, which they absolutely should have by that point. One of the Neko Ninja accompanying them points out the scouts' corpses and shortly they are assaulted by a giant robot spider, with one of the Neko Ninja being impaled by one of its legs. Usagi realizes there isn't just one robot spider... they are surrounded by them.
The rabbits, turtles, and cats take on the spiders and although they are tough, they eventually prevail. Leonardo amazes at what WhereWhen has been able to do with 17th century technology, but he can't figure out what makes them "go". Donatello looks inside the head of one of the spiders and finds a receiver inside. The Turtles try to figure out what sort of energy he's using to locomote the spiders, when finally it dawns on Don - the weird metallic sheen of the castle that Raph noticed was solar panels. The entire castle is acting as a battery!
Suddenly, they are ambushed by a giant mechangical dragon. The group battles it and it proves much tougher than the spiders, with their weapons completely unable to do more than just superficial damage. Chizu throws a firecracker in its mouth upon realizing this, and its head detonates.
Ame is still at the cliffside, and she is approached this time by Gen, who also notes her worry for Usagi. After Ame makes a faux pas regarding a premonition for more deaths and invertedly invoking Gen's loss of Kitsune, she asks if he will accompany her body back to Geishu. Gen says he has a duty to Noriyuki and will remain while she is delivered back with the rest that have fallen. Suddenly, they feel the ground tremble and Ame thinks it's the Mogura returning. However, Gen notes that it feels different, and they sight WhereWhen's robots carving a path toward them through the forest...
