Synopsis[]
Hallowe'en night. Raphael stands on a rooftop, complaining that this one night a year people pretend to think weird and different beings are cool, but tomorrow they'll go back to fearing aliens and those like himself. Michelangelo approaches and offers him some candy, but Raph continues complaining and decides to just scram. However, down below, he sees what appears to be Renet skulking around and dropping into the sewer. Raph finds this suspicious, as she could have used the Time Scepter to pop into the lair directly.
"Renet" surpasses the Turtles' security system and begins rummaging through their storage unit. Raph puts a hand on their shoulder, and the intruder turns around, revealing what looks to be a skeletal mutant turtle. Raph goes to confront the intruder, who lunges suddenly for the Thieving God Idol and upon reaching it, Raph and the skeelton are transported to a post-apocalyptic landscape, where the King of Thieves stands in waiting with a pack of werewolves. The thief sics the werewolves on Raph, as the skeleton presents him with the idol. A fortified armored truck suddenly drifts by, and the driver commands Raph to get in. Raph complies, as it'll get him out of the uneven fight.
After getting away, the driver is revealed to be a scarred and severely trimmed-down Hadji, the former sidekick of the King of Thieves. The thief and Hadji had apparently at some point acquired a living footstool, going by the "Hassock of the Nameless Chosen", which had transported them to this future New York City where monsters rule the planet. Over the years, the King of Thieves had been cruel to Hadji, resulting in his current appearance, and necessitating Hadji having joined Michelangelo's rebels.
Meanwhile, the thief and the turtle skeleton descend a staircase he reveals by magic and attempts to sacrifice the Thieving God Idol to the Hassock, hoping that this item would finally allow him to return to his own time. Back at his camp, Hadji explains that the Hassock had been given many sacrifices in an attempt to return thhim to his own time, but none would do. He tried the idol of his current era, only to fail in the incantation to fail and the idol destroyed. He sent the skeletal turtle as a "folcrum", back in time to retrieve the idol of Raph's present. Hadji also reveals that the final straw in his mistreatment was when the thief used Hadji's aura to power the folcrum, and it was only through Mike's actions that he survived.
Suddenly, werewolves ambush them, and Hadji is killed. Raph only manages to escape due to the intervention of another furred beast, this one with a mask and shell...
Raph finds the thief's lair, and he reveals to Raph that the "folcrum" is Raph's own skeleton. Raph attempts to attack the thief, but he stops him in mid-air with a spell. The thief plans to sacrifice Raph along with the idol, but the hairy beast from before - a werewolf Michelangelo, intervenes. With the spell disrupted, the idol is destroyed, and Raph is freed. He hits the folcrum, destroying his own skeleton and returning to the present. Mikey approaches again and Raph hugs his brother, glad to see him again as he knows him. He walks off eating the candy Mikey offered, with the latter confused on Raph's sudden change in demeanor.
Back in the monster apocalypse, the Hassock taunts the thief's failure once again. The king starts remarking disappointment about being trapped in this place forever, as he must listen to sarcasm of Hassock.
