Vanilla Ice

Robert Matthew Van Winkle (born October 31, 1967; 58 years old), better known by his stage name Vanilla Ice, is an American rap artist, actor and television host. He was born in South Dallas, and raised in Texas and south Florida. He is best known for his songs "Ice Ice Baby" and "Ninja Rap".

Ice appeared as a fictionalized version of himself in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze, where a battle between the Ninja Turtles and Rahzar & Tokka interrupted a performance he was giving at a club. The Turtles' appearance prompted him to (improbably) improvise a song titled "Ninja Rap."

His 2005 studio album "Platinum Underground" includes the track "Ninja Rap 2", an apparent sequel to the original.[1]

In 2014, Ice reappeared in a commercial for Kraft's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Macaroni & Cheese.

In 2017 he features in the Foragio Blow single "Vanilla Sprite" which samples his 90's hit "Ice Ice Baby". The music video version "Vanilla Sprite Remix" features the Ninja Turtles themselves via suitmation.

Ice is a self-identified TMNT fan. He has a large tattoo on his leg featuring the TMNT logo from the 1987 TV series and 1990s movies along with a rendering of the Turtles from the poster of The Secret of the Ooze, his favorite of the films. Ice also maintains a large personal collection of rare Turtles memorabilia.[2]
