[Opening sequence and theme song.]
[Episode opens with a view of a full moon and then pans down to the streets below. A manhole cover is removed and the disguised turtles step into view.]
Donatello "Hurry, Raphael."
Leonardo "We haven't much time. We're too late. The video store is closed."
Raphael "Great. Now, we'll have to pay an extra day's rental on this movie."
Michelangelo "Hey, that's cool. I wouldn't mind watching ‘The Radioactive Salamander that Nibbled New York’ a few more times."
[A light suddenly shines brightly behind them. They turn to see a rock soldier drop from the circle of light.]
Donatello "What the heck?"
General Traag "The turtles."
Leonardo "It's General Traag."
Raphael "Who invited him over?"
[They attack but go right through him. He is not solid.]
Donatello "Whoa!"
Michelangelo "I'll handle this, dude. Whoa! Ugh! Hey, no fair."
Raphael "Don't tell me we're being haunted by the ghost of General Traag."
Leonardo "Couldn't be. Last I heard, he was still alive."
Michelangelo "Yeah, but in Dimension X, not here."
Donatello "Oh, that means Krang's messing around with his dimensional portal again. Come on."
[They return to their lair.]
Donatello "If we can contact the Neutrinos, they might have some clue of what Krang's been up to."
Raphael "Sure, we'll just dial long distance and ask for the area code for Dimension X."
Donatello "No sweat. I've been working on a pan-dimensional portal of my own."
Michelangelo "This is bogus, right?"
Donatello "No, it's the real thing. Of course, I haven't actually tested it yet, but—
Anybody got any chewing gum?"
[he pulls a handle and it breaks off]
Anybody got any chewing gum?"
Raphael "This isn't exactly instilling me with a whole lot of confidence, Donatello."
[Cut to the Technodrome, far below ground.]
Krang "What in blazes happened, Shredder? Why did you bring over General Traag? Why are you fooling around with my portal? And why didn't he materialize fully?"
Shredder "The teleporter is a newer version on our old transdimensional portal. Only now, it will teletransport material objects to a predetermined location. I hope all this isn't too much for you to follow, Krang."
Krang "I'm one big brain, remember? Continue."
[On the viewing screen is a map. An area called ‘Little Tokyo Town’ is flashing red.]
Shredder "I've discovered the location of something I've been searching for ever since I left Japan. And now, it's within my grasp."
[He activates the teleporter. Meanwhile, back at the lair, Donatello is activating his portal at the same time.]
Donatello "Here we go, gang."
Michelangelo "I've got all six fingers crossed."
Donatello "Something seems to be interfering with the transdimensional reception."
[The scene shifts between the lair and Technodrome.]
Krang "Are you sure it's supposed to do that, Shredder?"
Michelangelo "Whoa! Qué pasa?"
Leonardo "Looks like ancient Japan!"
Donatello "Shredder's portal must be knocking my transdimensional signal off track."
[On their portal screen is an image of a rabbit samurai facing off against three hog samurai.]
Michelangelo "Check it out. That little dude's facing off against those humongous hogs."
Hog "Now, ronin, you will pay for disobeying the shogun."
Usagi Yojimbo "Be warned. You are no match for me."
Hog "Three against one. We shall see."
Michelangelo "Whoa! Talking pigs and rabbits! I find that a little hard to swallow."
Raphael "Not like talking turtles, right?"
Leonardo "Are they mutants like us?"
Donatello "I don't think so. This must be some kind of alternate Earth, where animals, not humans, became the dominant species."
[Usagi fights and defeats the hogs.]
Michelangelo "Man, this dude is good. Yii!"
[Suddenly, Usagi leaps through the portal and into the lair.]
Usagi "Turtle guards, eh? I suppose the shogun's cowardly son Lord Bissen sent you."
Raphael "Mellow out, bugs."
[Usagi defeats Raphael, then leaps out of the way when Donatello attacks.]
Donatello "Come back and fight, floppy ears."
[Usagi lands in front of Donatello and quickly slices his bō into small pieces.]
Leonardo "I'll handle this."
Usagi "Huyyah!"
[He throws a sword and pins Leonardo’s elbow pad to the portal. Leonardo pulls loose and attacks. They battle.]
Usagi "Your swordsmanship is excellent. Now let us test the quality of your blade.
Now, who will challenge me?"
[He slides Leonardo’s blade in half.]

Michelangelo "I will, dude."
[He throws a pizza in Usagi face, disorienting him. Splinter rushes up and takes his sword.]
Usagi "Such superb technique, such mastery of form, such delicious taste. What strange style of fighting is this?"
Splinter "I would call it ‘slapstick’."
Usagi "I surrender to you. Please spare my life, and teach me this slapstick."
[Back in the Technodrome, Shredder is fiddling with his portal device.]
Krang "This device is far from perfect."
Shredder "Well, so are you. Don't worry, I'll find the problem and fix it."
Krang "Promises, promises."
[In the lair, Usagi kneels and Splinter returns his swords.]
Usagi "My name is Usagi Yojimbo."
Splinter "That means rabbit bodyguard."
Usagi "I am a ronin, a masterless samurai."
Raphael "He's not only from medieval Japan, but also from an alternate universe. So, naturally, he speaks English."
Usagi "What strange castle is this?"
Donatello "Well, it's not exactly a castle. It's more like a sewer."
Usagi "It is quite, uh, picturesque."
Splinter "We must return Usagi to his own world. He does not belong here."
Donatello "But, Sensei, tuning into his dimension was a zillion to one fluke. I could never find its coordinates again."
Michelangelo "You mean he's, like, stuck here?"
Usagi "I have no master, no home. Take me with you. Let me learn of your strange, new world."
Donatello "Do you think we ought to, Sensei?"
Splinter "To turn him away would mean his certain demise."
Michelangelo "Put her there, little ace."
Usagi "Put what where?"
[Michelangelo grabs his hand and gives him a high-five.]
Usagi "Hmm. Most curious."
Michelangelo "Welcome to the group, dude."
Leonardo "Usagi's going to need a disguise."
[The scene shifts to the turtles and Usagi topside. All are wearing disguises.]
Usagi "Well, how do I look?"
Raphael "Like a regular fourteenth century fashion plate."
Usagi "My, such big castles."
Raphael "So, where are we headed?"
Donatello "Channel 6. You saw how Shredder's signal interfered with my portal. When he uses that thing, electronics probably go haywire all over town."
Leonardo "But why Channel 6?"
Donatello "When things go crazy, who's gonna find out faster than a newsroom?"
[They don’t notice that Usagi has stopped at the roadside knock-down-the-can carnival game.]
Roadside Game Guy "Hey, yo, friar tuck, step right up and win a kewpie doll. It'll really brighten up the monastery."
[Usagi throws the ball, knocking down the cans and punching a hole in the back wall. The Game Guy gives him an armful of stuffed toys.]
Roadside Game Guy "Here, take them all. Please."
[Inside the Channel 6 news building, the boss is trying to make a call.]
Burne Thompson "Hello? Hello? What the heck's going on here? All midtown's gone crazy, and now the phones are dead. April, what happened to you?"
April O’Neil "I was taping in midtown when all our cameras blew up."
Thompson "Oh, great. Great, great, great. A big story is breaking, and we can't even cover it."
[The turtles and Usagi enter the news station and approach Irma.]
Irma "Hi, fellows. Who's your friend in the monk's outfit?"
Usagi "I am a stranger in your land. Please accept these tokens of my friendship."
[He gives her all of the stuffed toys he won.]
Irma "Why, thank you. I love a man who comes bearing gifts."
Usagi "Ahh, you are most welcome."
Irma "Oh, no, not another mutant. First shells and now fur. When did skin go out of fashion?"
April "Did I hear someone say mutant?"
Leonardo "He's not a mutant, April. He's from another dimension."
Usagi "I am most honored. My name is Usagi Yojimbo."
April "And my name is mud if I don't find out what's causing this power disruption."
Donatello "We're convinced it's Shredder, but we don't know where the signal's coming from?"
April "Try midtown. It worked for me."
Leonardo "Thanks."
[Shift to the Technodrome.]
Shredder "There, it's working perfectly. Now, to make contact with Dimension X."
Krang "Let's hope you're successful, for your sake."
[Back in the city, the group is running through midtown.]
Usagi "I like that woman. Her ears were too small and she lacked fur, but she was nice."
Donatello "Look! This is where Shredder's teleportation beam is focused. My theory was right."
Leonardo "Donatello, this is one time I wish you were wrong."
[A portal opens in front of them, and Foot soldiers come through.]
Michelangelo "Scope it out, dudes. Foot soldiers."
Leonardo "This has got to be Shredder's doing."
Usagi "Are those warriors your enemies?"
Donatello "That's the understatement of the year."
Usagi "Then they are my enemies, too. Huyyah! Allow me the privilege of annihilating you.
Uncivilized peasants! I will teach you some manners. Huyyah!"
[One of them knocks him down.]

[Usagi proceeds to slice apart the Foot soldiers.]
Michelangelo "All right, bag of bolts, take this."
[A Foot soldier traps him in a trash can. Foot soldiers surround Usagi. He becomes a whirlwind of action, and when he stops moving, the soldiers all fall to pieces.]
Michelangelo "Hey! Someone get me out of here! All right, let me at those turkeys!"
Donatello "Uh, forget it, Mikey. Our friend Usagi's taken care of everything."
Raphael "Terrific. Now, I can retire and start writing my memoirs."
Usagi "What manner of demons are these?"
Michelangelo "They're not demons, dude. They're robots."
Leonardo "They're machines made of metal, but designed to look like men."
Usagi "This is powerful sorcery, indeed."
Donatello "If we took one of these powerpacks back to the lair, I could home in on its frequency."
Usagi "Another evil robot."
[A motorcycle rider passes him and Usagi gives chase. The others don’t notice.]
Donatello "Shredder must be bringing those Foot soldiers over for something. We can keep tabs on them with this powerpack and find out what he's up to."
Leonardo "Then let's get back to the sewers. Usagi? He's gone."
Raphael "Swell. We've got a runaway samurai bunny on our hands."
Leonardo "Donatello, you get back, and get to work on your plan. The rest of us will have to find him."
[Inside the Technodrome...]
Shredder "What? All the Foot soldiers destroyed? Those blasted turtles again. One day, I'm going to send them a bill for all those robot parts. But even they can't stop me from flooding the city with Foot soldiers!"
[Another portal opens and Foot soldiers run out. Pan to the interior of a fancy restaurant. Foot soldiers enter and the Maître d' moves to greet them.]
Maître d' "Bonsoir. And how many for dinner, monsieur? Seven, eight, nine. I'm afraid you will need a reservation.
Perhaps, in your case, I can make un petit exception."
[A Foot soldier picks him up and throws him into the fish tank.]

[The Foot leave the restaurant. On the street, the motorcycle outruns Usagi.]
Usagi "Cowardly robot! We shall meet again!
Ahh, my kind of place."
[He turns and spots a restaurant called ‘The Rabbit Hutch’.]
Ahh, my kind of place."
Manager "Where've you been? You're an hour late. Now, hop to it."
[He tosses an apron at Usagi and throws him down in front of waiters dressed in rabbit costumes.]
Usagi "Brothers!"
[Cut to the lair.]
Donatello "There. Now, to find out what the Foot soldiers are up to. Looks like they're having a convention."
Splinter "They are converging on the Far Eastern Animal Museum in little Tokyo town."
Donatello "What could Shredder possibly want there?"
Splinter "It houses a collection of mystical oriental relics, all relating to animals. My old friend Obento is guardian. And whatever Shredder is after, it can only lead to evil. We must find the others and hasten there."
[Pan to the Far East Animal Museum. Inside, Obento is feeding small animals.]
Obento "Here, my little ones. Now, now. There is plenty for all of you.
Do not worry, baby-san. You are safe as long as you are here."
[He pats a large urn.]

[The door bursts open and Foot soldiers enter. The animals run.]
Obento "Who are you? What do you want? No, not baby-san. Leave him alone!"
[At the restaurant, Usagi is in the kitchen.]
Waiter "Uh, two carrot souffles, hold the mayo."
Usagi "Greetings, brother. A question, please. Why are there so many of us rabbits here?"
Manager "Quit goofing off, you two, and get back to work."
Waiter "Yeah, we slave all day while that creep just bosses us around."
Usagi "I cannot believe it. All my brother creatures, slaves. I must liberate them."
Manager "Hey, you! What do you think you're—"
[Usagi begins throwing food at him.]
Usagi "You will see that we rabbits are not to be trifled with."
[The manager rushes at him with a bottle. Usagi begins slicing with his sword and shreds the man’s clothes. He then returns to throwing food.]
Usagi "Join in, brothers! Fight for your freedom!"
[Meanwhile, the Foot soldiers are carrying the urn to the top of a smokestack.]
Obento "What are you doing? Leave baby-san alone."
[They tip the urn over and remove a large object encased in white. It is a dragon egg.]
Obento "No, you mustn't!"
[The Foot throw the egg into the smokestack. Meanwhile, Donatello contacts his brothers via the turtlecom.]
Donatello "We're on our way to meet you. Have you found Usagi?"
Raphael "Not a trace of him."
[They hear people screaming and look over to see them fleeing from the restaurant.]
Raphael "Cancel that."
Michelangelo "I'll get him. Excuse me. Look out. Pardon me. Out of my way."
Usagi "Now you know not to enslave innocent rabbits."
Manager "I've had just about enough of this."
Michelangelo "Hey, dude, like, don't be so hostile."
Manager "What are you doing here?"
Michelangelo "I'm rescuing my furry little bud. You're supposed to be in my turtle soup restaurant down the street. Now, get back there and get to work."
[Michelangelo smashes a cake in his face and then escorts Usagi outside.]
Usagi "I do not understand. Did I do something wrong?"
Michelangelo "No, little dude. You did everything just right."
[A short time later, the group is in the turtle van.]
Donatello "The Foot soldiers have left little Tokyo town. They've gone to the midtown power plant."
Leonardo "Then that's where we're headed."
Raphael "This is the place."
Michelangelo "Why are they guarding a smokestack?"
Donatello "Here comes the answer."
[The smokestack explodes and a dragon emerges.]
Michelangelo "I'm sorry I asked.
Time to boogie, dudes, and I'm talking warp speed."
[The dragon menaces them.]

Leonardo "Quick! Head for the turtle van!"
Splinter "We must find Obento, the animal shelter guardian. He is the only one who can control that beast."
Donatello "Those are the only other Foot soldiers in the city. They must have him."
Splinter "Donatello, you drive. Usagi, you will accompany us. The rest of you, try to keep the dragon at bay."
Leonardo "Let's go, fellows."
Raphael "How come we get all the fun jobs?"
Michelangelo "What a bummer. Babysitter to a giant dragon."
[The dragon starts sniffing the air and spots the Acme Grain company building.]
Leonardo "Looks to me like he's hungry."
Michelangelo "Check it out, dudes. Grain elevators."
Raphael "Hope he likes bran."
[They climb to the top of the grain elevator and Leonardo pierces it with a sword. He slides down, slicing the structure open. Michelangelo and Raphael each grip a side and slide down, stretching the opening wider. Grain spills out.]
Michelangelo "One grain elevator going down!"
Raphael "Michelangelo, I have to admit it, that was a brilliant idea."
Michelangelo "Thanks, amigo."
Leonardo "Uh-oh, it's getting bigger."
Raphael "You and your dumb ideas."
[Meanwhile, Donatello drives to where his sensors have led him.]
Donatello "This is where those four Foot soldiers went. ‘Ecological Waste Treatment Center’. That's ecological? Somebody ought to report these jerks."
Splinter "Look!"
Obento "Help! Please, help me!"
Splinter "They have Obento. Come!"
[Usagi slices through the fencing.]
Usagi "Huyyah!"
[They fight and defeat the Foot soldiers. Usagi retrieves the bag they’ve shoved Obento into and slices it open, freeing the man.]
Obento "You are one of the teenage mutant ninja turtles, but who is this?"
Splinter "There is no time to explain, Obento-san. That dragon egg of yours has hatched."
Obento "Baby-san is loose? This is terrible."
Splinter "Can you do anything to stop him?"
Obento "There is a slight chance, but there is something I will need from the animal shelter."
[The other turtles are laying down a trail of grain so that the dragon will follow them.]
Michelangelo "Yo, dragon dude, this way! Good dragon."
Raphael "I hope this new plan of yours works better than the old one."
Michelangelo "Hey, it can't fail, dudes."
Leonardo "Except you forgot one thing."
Michelangelo "The Foot dudes!"
Leonardo "I'll try and hold them off. Taste turtle steel!"
Michelangelo "Boy, I wish I could get to say lines like that."
[His brothers lead the Dragon into a building. It crashes through a wall to get inside.]
Michelangelo "Hey, big bud! Over here!"
[He opens a furnace and flames shoot out and into the dragon’s face. It ducks its head into the furnace and inhales the fire, then blows smoke from its mouth and nostrils.]
Raphael "Another great Michelangelo idea."
Michelangelo "Hey, even great minds goof up once in a while."
[The dragon suddenly breathes fire at them and then begins chasing them.]
Both "Whoa! Look out!"
Michelangelo "Man, it's gonna be a hot time in the old town tonight."
[Shift scene back to the museum.]
Obento "Ah, I have found it, the blue flame of Osaka. The only thing that can save the dragon from the city."
Donatello "Don't you mean save the city from the dragon?"
Obento "I know what I mean."
[Tanks are shown rolling through the streets. In front of them is the turtle van.]
Soldier "All units, into the power plant, and shoot to kill."
Obento "See? They're out to destroy him. We must hurry!"
[The dragon is still chasing Michelangelo and Raphael. They run to where Leonardo stands in front of a group of Foot soldiers.]
Leonardo "Hit us with your best shot!"
[The dragon shoots flames at them all, but the turtles escape. The Foot soldiers are destroyed.]
Soldier "Vehicles, halt!"
Obento "Baby-san! They're going to slaughter him."
Raphael "This is bad?"
Obento "You are a fellow reptile. Surely you must know how humans misunderstand you, but the blue flame can save him.
Who among you is willing to place this in the dragon's mouth?"
[He lights the candle.]

Turtles "Ohh—Uhh—Um-- I'm late for—Uh—"
Usagi "Allow this humble ronin to try, Obento-San."
Obento "As you wish."
Soldier "Ready, aim—"
[Usagi runs towards the dragon and then leaps, throwing the candle into the dragon’s mouth.]
Usagi "Huyyah!"
[The dragon immediately shrinks, returning to egg form.]
Soldier "Fire! Uh, never mind."
[Cut to the Technodrome.]
Krang "Well, what went wrong this time?"
Shredder "I don't know. The city should be rubble by now. I'll check the instant replay. Who is that?"
Krang "Pah! Another mutant maggot."
Usagi "Whoever he is, he is a superb samurai warrior."
Krang "That's it, blame your defeat on a cute, furry little bunny. Ha ha!"
Shredder "Laugh if you want to, Krang, but one day, I'll have my rabbit revenge."
[Back in the museum, the egg has been safely placed back into the urn.]
Obento "Baby-san will give you no more trouble, nor will anyone trouble him."
Donatello "Now I understand what you meant about saving him from the city."
Obento "Had it not been for your efforts, this magical creature would have been destroyed."
Splinter "Obento-san, there is another creature who needs your protection, a stranger from a distant land, stranded in our world."
Obento "I will gladly care for him and keep him safe until you can find a way of returning him to his own world."
Michelangelo "Looks like no TV for you tonight."
Donatello "Try the next twenty years."
[End Credits]
