A unicorn is a legendary being which appears as a horse with a single horn growing from its forehead. In ancient times, a unicorn wasn't considered a mythological being, but instead a standard, everyday animal, leading many scholars in modern day to hypothesize that they mistook a known, common animal for a horned horse. Outside of Europe, many other locales and cultures have their own equivalents to unicorns.

In TMNT[]

Unicorns only appear occasionally in the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise.

Mirage[]

In the Mirage continuity, a unicorn is in Locke's flashback, in which he tells of how all myths and legends co-existed at one time in relative peace. Halls of Lost Legends

Back to the Sewer[]

In TMNT: Back to the Sewer, a unicorn is depicted in-game in "SuperQuest".

Unicorns are a type of currency in the Hidden City that are first depicted in "You Got Served" as Leonardo and Michelangelo compete to attain the most unicorns for their performance as wait staff at Run of the Mill Pizza. A unicorn Yōkai patron is seen in the Grand Nexus Hotel sporting lounge in "The Ancient Art of Ninja Hide and Seek". Baron Draxum has a unicorn test subject in "Goyles, Goyles, Goyles" who causes the damage of his laboratory's main machine that leads to the building's destruction and the escape of all his test subjects, including Lou Jitsu and the Ninja Turtles.
