Summary[]

The story begins aboard the Aaak spaceship, a mega starcruiser of the Aurystoremitreiana fleet. Officers Pebh and Kruk have received instructions for their mission. Their captain tells them they need to capture two Earthmen and replace them. Pebh acknowledges that they are to analyze their level of civilization. After the examination, the fleet will invade Earth.

Pebh and Kruk blast off in a small shuttle. They believe they have done the right thing to volunteer. All they do is select the indigenous people to replicate. Kruk turns on the Cosmovisore, which is a small monitor that shows them a pair of humans walking along a sidewalk. Kruk asks what his partner thinks about them, but Pebh replies that they are too ugly. They soon spot another pair of possibilities and think they are perfect due to their intelligent expressions. The duo they are talking about are Bebop and Rocksteady.

On the street below, the two mutants are busy complaining about Shredder and how he’s always screaming “Bebop!” and “Rocksteady!”. Pebh and Kruk are delighted to now know the names of their intended victims. Pebh says the Kata-Lettik Irradiatore is ready to fire. They blast the pair of mutants with a laser that freezes them in place. They see on one else around and deem in safe to land. Pebh states that Bebop and Rocksteady will remain in suspended animation until they decide to defrost them. Kruk memorizes them with their Replicatore Mimetico while Pebh makes their shuttle invisible. Then they use devices on their belts to transform themselves into duplicates of Bebop and Rocksteady.

Delighted with their metamorphosis, they prepare to visit what they consider a primitive city without being asked any questions. Suddenly, the Modulo da trasporto bursts up through the ground, startling the duo. Shredder stands in its doorway and berates them for going for a walk when there is so much to do at the Tecnodromo. Pebh whispers to his partner to ask who that is and Kruk tells him to stay in character or the man will know they are imposters. Turning to Shredder, Pebh addresses him as “Captain” and says that they were about to return. Kruk adds that they are operational and ready for orders.

Shortly after, they are in the Tecnodromo moving boxes to the warehouse under the directions of Shredder. Pebh complains that he is sweaty and Kruk says they would have done better to replicate those two ugly ones they saw earlier. Shredder wants to know what he said, and Kruk answers that he was joking. Then Shredder tells them that when they are done, to fix that computerized detector that is no longer working.

Shredder takes them to the computer lab and tells them that it is very delicate, but they should be able to change batteries without breaking it. Pebh asks Kruk what a battery is, but his partner tells him if they don’t reactivate that machine, Shredder will get suspicious. After examining the detector, Pebh says that if it doesn’t work, then it must be broken. Kruk replies that they need to fix it and that luckily, he has a degree in Epidimensional Engineering. Later, Kruk proclaims that it is done and it was not easy. Pebh agrees, saying their technology is more advanced than expected. Shredder approaches at that moment and informs them that the pantry is empty. He orders them to go shopping and hands them both laser guns, which he says they will use to pay the bill. The two aliens examine the guns and think this world has a strange kind of economy.

On the surface, the pair locate a store that looks like a food seller. Pebh says to go in and to remember that they have what they need to pay with. After entering, Kruk points a gun at a clerk and states that they would like to shop. The clerk exclaims that it’s a robbery and calls for help. The Turtles happen to be passing by and hear the screams. Leonardo leads them inside to investigate. They discover who they think are Bebop and Rocksteady robbing the place. Seeing the four Turtles, the pair of aliens realize that they don’t seem friendly.

The Turtles quickly pounce on the pair and pummel them until they take off running. Leonardo comments that today they seemed weaker than usual. As they flee, Pebh urges his partner to go with him back to the starship. After dumping the real Bebop and Rocksteady out, the aliens blast off, declaring the planet unfit for invasions. They clarify then that it isn’t the planet, it’s the inhabitants that make it uninhabitable.

Meanwhile, Bebop and Rocksteady are coming to and are completely confused. They wonder what happened to them while they slept. Bebop says they need to go back to the Tecnodromo because they have to empty the warehouse. They are in for a surprise, though, when they return to the Tecnodromo. All of the work has been done and for once, Krang praises them for having reconstructed the computerized detector in a way never seen before. He wants to know where they learned such advanced science fiction technological solutions. Rocksteady replies that they always say they are undervalued. Bebop says it must surely have been a simple job because he doesn’t even remember doing it.
