The Tyrannosaurus rex, or just "T-Rex," is one of the more popular dinosaurs seen in cultural references. As such, more than a few have appeared in TMNT history.
Mirage[]
- Savanti Romero famously uses a t-rex as a mount in "The Return of Savanti Romero!".
- Miss Gnarl, Leonardo's substitute teacher in his dream, is a tyrannosaurus.Turtle Dreams
1987 TV series[]
- The turtles encounter a Tyrannosaurus Rex during the turtles adventure to the underground dinosaur cave in "Turtles at the Earth's Core".
- Speega, a friend Leonardo makes in "Leonardo is Missing", is an evolved descendent of a tyrannosaurus.
1987 video games[]
- Two tyrannosaurus flank the stage in Wingnut's stage "Thunder Dome" in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Tournament Fighters (SNES version) - although they may be animatronics.
TMNT comic strips[]
- The Turtles and Splinter encounter a Tyrannosaurus rex as well as other dinosaurs while traveling through Lower Earth in Splinter’s Quest, part 2.
TMHT (Fleetway)[]
- A T-Rex makes a cameo appearance when the Turtles travel back in time in Egyptian Escapade.
2003 TV series[]
- It was first seen as a skeleton in "Trouble with Augie" during April's childhood flashback when visiting a museum with her uncle.
- As in the "The Return of Savanti Romero!", the villain rides a tyrannosaurus in "Return of Savanti, Part 1" and "Part 2".
Fast Forward[]
- A tyrannosaurus is among the dinosaurs rampaging in 2105 when Sh'Okanabo and Viral create their own Time Window in "Timing is Everything".
Back to the Sewer[]
- A tyrannosaurus is among the creatures corralled by Cyber Shredder in "Web Wranglers".
- A tyrannosaurus-rex (with the same design as the one in "Web Wranglers") is also encountered in TMNT in... Mayhem From Mutant Island!!!
2012 TV series[]
- As in the "Monsters Among Us!", Savanti Romero remains stranded in prehistoric times and is promptly chosen as a meal by a tyrannosaurus.
Half-Shell Heroes: Blast to the Past[]
- Donatello and his brothers are confronted by a tyrannosaurus rex during their misadventure of the special. Donnie later befriends the T-Rex, in which he rides and forms a bond with before returning home to the present.
Injustice[]
- The Flash and Reverse Flash's super move involves the opponent being thrust into the Mesozoic Era and slammed into a tyrannosaurus, which then roars in agitation.
Rise of the TMNT[]
- S.H.E.L.L.D.O.N. travels back in time and provides Splinter with tyrannosaurus eggs in "Smart Lair".
Batman vs. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles[]
- One of the League of Assassins' ninjas was converted into a mutant-Tyrannosaurus hybrid by the Mutagen during their battle against the protagonists.
Action Figures[]
- Cave Turtle Don came with a tyrannosaurus mount/ally called Trippy Tyrannosaurus. A recolored Trippy was also seen in the Mini-Mutants line.
- Leonardo was packaged with a tyrannosaurus figure in the set Leonardo vs T-Rex.
- Donnie & T-Rex from the Half-Shell Heroes line once again pairs Donatello with a tyrannosaurus-rex. A more show-accurate (and thus, closer in design to Trippy Tyrannosaurus) was called T-Rex with Donnie.
