Summary[]
Campo Buzby is a NASA base just outside the city. Inside, the press is interviewing a General with regards to a new missile and whether it’s coming or not. The General tells them to be patient and one of the reporters says he hopes it’s worth the wait. In response, the General explains that the new vector is extraordinary. It’s small, but extremely powerful and inexpensive.
At the back of the crowd, April O'Neil is on the phone with Leonardo. She asks if he heard the General and believes that the delay is weird. April asks if he can check. Leonardo assures her they will, as the Turtles are already on the road in their Turtle Van. Shortly, they encounter a traffic jam right where the missile convoy was supposed to pass. Donatello leans through the window to ask the driver in the next car if he knows what’s happening. The driver answers that it appears there has been an accident and farther ahead, two traffic officers are diverting all traffic.
The Turtles zoom ahead and soon reach the checkpoint, where they discover that the two officers are actually Bebop and Rocksteady. Once more Donatello leans through the window, this time to ask if they joined up as mutants. Bebop opens fire with his laser gun and calls out to Rocksteady that they need to notify the boss that the Turtles are on the scene. The pair then jump on their motorcycles and begin driving away. Donatello urges Leonardo to go faster because they are getting away. Leonardo says that if they let them go, they’ll lead them to Shredder.
Meanwhile, a little farther ahead, Shredder has stopped the government vehicle and is holding a pair of soldiers at gunpoint. One of them says that he must be crazy because the missile belongs to the government. Shredder replies that it doesn’t anymore. Rocksteady pulls up in front of him and informs Shredder that they have Turtle trouble. Shredder is not concerned because he believes that this time, they have arrived too late. As he jumps into the army truck, he tells his mutants to keep them busy while he steals the missile.
The Turtles arrive on the scene in time to see the Shredder stealing the truck. They also see Bebop and Rocksteady driving straight at them. Leonardo aims right at them and tells the other Turtles to hang on. However, instead of a collision, the two mutants separate and zoom around the Turtle Van. Bebop and Rocksteady are pleased with their joke. Standing atop the Turtle Van, Donatello calls out that it’s their turn to give chase. Raffaello has joined him on the roof and says that this is the opportunity he’s been waiting for to try some special four-pointed caltrops.
Bebops sees the caltrops and asks Rocksteady what they are. His buddy says he wishes he was wrong, but they seem to be trouble. Sure enough, they hit the caltrops, their tires burst, and they crash. Leonardo pulls the Turtle Van up next to the government truck and Shredder asks what they think they’re doing. Leonardo calls out that he’ll love it and then tells Donatello that it’s his turn. Donatello leaps onto the missile and begins fiddling with the emergency controls, working to get the sequence right. When he completes his mission, he jumps back onto the Turtle Van.
A second later, the missile activates and the entire government truck blasts off. Later, the Turtles meet up with April, who wants to know everything. Leonardo tells her that there is no use waiting for the missile. Donatello adds that Shredder was so intent on having it, so they let him. Meanwhile, Shredder is on his communicator with Krang, asking to be rescued. Krang wants to know if he got the missile. Shredder answers yes, in a sense, and Krang demands to know what he means. Shredder informs him that the missile took him into space and now he’s in orbit.
