Triceraton Space Mines are both a security mechanism created by the Triceraton Empire for self defense, the Triceratons release the mines around their ships to prevent enemies from approaching. Although the mines can be easily avoided when using much smaller ships. The mines are made of a substance called Urilium and first appeared in The Moons of Thalos 3.
