The Triceraton All-Star Team was a team of four Triceraton gladiators that fought the Turtles in the Tri-Sports Arena, led by Monza Ram.

History

Monza Ram and his team (Daz Ublem from Bakklo, Mixx Trolo from the starcruiser Zalum, and Xiote Damaz from Molox) were once a popular team of fighters in the Triceraton Tri-Sports Arena. In contrast to other gladiators who had to fight mostly under duress in the arena of life and death, they were rather free gladiators who went for glory and honor in battle.

Monza Ram and his people were called to the arena by the Supreme Leader of the Triceraton Republic, Zanramon, because his latest prisoners and arena fighters were the Turtles. He also wanted to have Professor Honeycutt see the lives of his new friends being threatened. This was to force him to build his transmat which Zanramon wanted to use as an ultimate weapon to massacre the Federation. The Turtles, however, managed to kill the entire team in a duel.

The All-Star Team's reliance on overwhelming size and strength would be remembered as a liability rather than an asset because of how swiftly the Turtles were nevertheless able to kill them. According to T'Zirk, the incident with the Turtles would be extensively studied, and a new Triceraton ninjutsu-like martial art called t'jat uhasil would be formulated whose practitioners benefit instead from being shorter and more agile like the Turtles themselves.

Appearance

The All-Star Team are all very big and muscular Triceratons in prime strength. However, the comic has been somewhat inconsistent in the All-Star Team's appearance. In the 1st printing comic's cover and art by Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird in February 1986, they wear metallic-looking short shorts. In the 2nd printing's cover art in April 1987, they are naked.
