Summary[]

There is trouble in New York City and it’s big trouble. Police have surrounded a Tyrannosaurus rex that is strolling down the street, with a Pteranodon flying nearby. Officer O’Hara phones his captain to ask for reinforcements, but his request is denied. The captain tells him that all the patrol cars are busy, because the dinosaurs weren’t the only things they are battling. On Fifth Avenue they are facing an attack by Sioux on horseback and it’s so crazy, the captain doesn’t know what to do.

Behind the police barricade, April O'Neil, astride her motorcycle, watches the action. She activates her automatic camera, slides on her helmet, and zooms past the police cars right into the action. She soon sees which direction everything is coming from and guesses that at the end of the road, she’ll find her story. To her surprise, Leonardo suddenly comes zipping up alongside her. He, like the other Turtles, are on their Cheapskates. Leonardo asks her to stop and she does, but asks him what’s up. He tells her that it’s dangerous to race among dinosaurs and Indians. April says that she must because she’s a journalist. Donatello tells her that they’ll come with her and she’s agreeable. She is sure that together they can find out where everything is coming from.

Meanwhile at the end of the street, Shredder mans a machine that is responsible for opening a Time Threshold. Shredder gloats that he will conquer the city with an invasion from its own past. Bebop asks if they can try it too and promises not to make a mess. Shredder allows him to take the controls and after pressing some buttons, he opens a time slip which brings a group of Vikings into the city. Just then, the Turtles and April arrive on the scene. The Turtles call out to him and Shredder tells them they’ll regret having crossed his path. He uses his Time Threshold to bring forth a group of Neanderthals. Leonardo asks if they are relatives of his because they have the same intelligent expression.

Stating that Shredder underestimates them, Raffaello and Donatello meet the Neanderthals head on. Donatello is surprised when one of them breaks his with a club. As the Turtles battle the Neanderthals, April films everything, excited at such a story. Off to the side, the Vikings try to figure out if they should enter the fight. Leonardo turns to the Viking leader and tells him to take it out on Shredder, because they are the good guys. In his own language, the Viking tells Leonardo that he’s having fun too. Leonardo congratulates the Viking on his beautiful braids and the Viking replies that it took him years to grow.

At the machine, Shredder tells Rocksteady to hurry up because they need more warriors. Rocksteady says that he’s trying, but the machine isn’t working. He starts shaking it, stating that there must be some interference. Nearby, April is pleased that her camera remote control affected the time machine. She aims the remote at the Time Threshold and thinks if her trick succeeds, Shredder and company will have a bad surprise. Suddenly, all of the people and creatures who have come through the Time Threshold are pulled back into the window. Unfortunately for Shredder, Bebop and Rocksteady, being so close to the Time Threshold means they are pulled inside as well. The window then vanishes.

Raffaello questions what happened and where everyone went. Leonardo realizes that it was April and asks how she did it. She says that she just activated the rewind feature. Elsewhere in time, Bebop is complaining to his boss that they want to go home. Shredder tells his mutant underlings not to annoy him and asks if they think it’s easy constructing a Time Threshold with the material available in prehistoric times?
