Toymaker is a character appearing in the TMHT Adventures comics by Fleetway Publications.
History[]
The Turtles meet the Toymaker when they are investigating his toyshop. April O'Neil had been mugged earlier by a clown and after he took all her money, she followed him. April saw him enter the back of the toyshop and told her Turtle friends, also relaying to them that there have been other muggings by clowns. Once they are inside the toyshop, Leonardo flashes an old pizza coupon and says they are the Special Toy Squad and need to look around. Toymaker leads them down into the basement and then commands the toys to attack. Overwhelmed by sheer numbers, the Turtles begin to back away and are caught in a giant spider's web.
Toymaker is fascinated by the giant talking Turtles and says he'll sell them on the ‘illegal pets’ market. When Raphael mentions their Master Splinter coming to the rescue, Toymaker learns that he is a giant talking rat. He sends four robots, made up to look like the Turtles, to the lair to capture Splinter. April is there with Splinter when the robotic Turtles arrive. The fake foursome do not fool the ninja master. He comes up with a plan and along with April, who dresses in a Leonardo costume, returns to the toyshop pretending to be a captive. When they get close enough to the Toymaker, the duo attacks. Splinter frees the Turtles, who chase the fleeing Toymaker. He races into another room and tries to escape in a rocket ship. Because April and Splinter brought the Turtle Blimp with them, the Turtles are able to pursue the villain. They disable his rocket ship and it crashes. The police find the Toymaker sitting in the street, surrounded by stolen goods.
