In Distractions, Toshiro is a feudal lord traveling with his children Tai and Sakai to meet with some cousins, after his province becomes dangerous. The Daimyō Orkai sends his son Tachi to kill Toshiro and abduct Tai so that he can marry her, thus taking over Toshiro's province. As Michelangelo works to rescue Tai, Toshiro gathers together the people of the land—his and Orkai's—and confront the two villains. Michelangelo beats Tachi, and Toshiro banishes them from the land. He offers Michelangelo to stay in their land, but he needed to move on to find his brothers—much to Tai's chagrin.
In the end, it is revealed this this adventure was merely a story written by Michelangelo.
