Much of the Rise of the TMNT episode "Mascot Melee" takes place in Times Square, where Raphael dresses in a hippopotamus suit to earn money by posing with tourists for photographs, with the hope of earning enough to buy his dad Splinter a new yukata, but Raph is attacked by other more established Times Square mascots guarding their turf.
