Synopsis[]
As Jennika sits at a table having a drink, she contemplates the mutants moving around her. One mutant, a rat, makes her think back to when she was human and to how much she misses Master Splinter.
Her thoughts carry her even further back, because Splinter wasn't the first rat to have helped her. When she was in prison, she befriended a little rat, who saved her from the intense loneliness she was feeling. When she and her one friend broke out of the prison, Jennika took the rat with her.
However, partway through the tunnel, the rat jumped from her pocket and ran away. Saddened, Jennika was forced to continue on without him, and hoped that he found a good home. Back with Splinter, her smile prompted him to ask what put the smile there, and she tells him that he reminds her a little of an old friend.
In the present, Jennika hands a bowl of food to the mutant rat, deciding that if she can't have Splinter back, she can at least carry on his example.
