Solicit[]
In order to bring the Pantheon to Earth and kick off his plans for conquest, Old Hob has been working with Krang to repair a damaged interdimensional portal. Instead of opening the gateway to the dimension that the Pantheon is stranded in, their efforts cause a wibble wobble in the space-time continuum, something that not only returns to Krang one of the evil Utroms’ most prized possessions, but also delivers three evil Nega-Turtles to New York City. (I guess we all know who the Heroes in a Half-Shell will be facing off against this month!)

Synopsis[]
At Krang and Shredder's Secret Lair, Old Hob finishes tinkering with Krang's dimensional portal and prepares to give it a test run. Shredder, eager to return to tangibility in this dimension, urges them to hurry. Krang warns him that if his calculations are off even slightly, not only could it not un-stick Saki from his parallel prison, but it could also create a "wobble" in space/time that could be unpredictable and catastrophic - including potential negative results for them. Shredder dismisses him and yells at Hob to press the button, and he does.
Out in the city, the Turtles are on patrol and Leonardo feels something peculiar. Raphael jokes that it's probably gas, but Michelangelo interrupts them by telling them that he hears someone calling for help.
Meanwhile back at the Foot's makeshift HQ, Shredder has still not been unstuck from where he is, but Rocksteady has. As he and Bebop excitedly hug, Krang reveals that the "wobble" swapped the atoms of his Bubble Walker with a new, upgraded Android Body. While Krang does sing the praises of his good fortune, he tells an irritated Shredder that they'll have to still be careful and ensure the calculations are sounds before trying again, as they can't count on good luck again, and the "wobble" could just as soon destroy Shredder as it would free him.
Back in the city, Smash urges a pair of new Crooked Ninja Turtle Gang recruits to hurry with their boom box theft. Suddenly, three mutant turtles in dark/edgy-themed gear appear and easily beat up Smash and his goons. After placing a trash can over Smash and noticing a mayoral scandal on the front page of a newspaper that fell out, Leonardo realizes that they're somewhere where Shredder isn't mayor, meaning that the "wobble" he felt earlier must have transported them to a version of New York City unlike their own. The Dark Leonardo realizes that with Shredder out of the way, that means they can take over.
At Channel 6, Vernon reports on the attacks throughout the night that these darker Turtles have been perpetuating, clearly blaming the Turtles for them. April protests to Irma that they'd have to be impostors, but a passing-by Burne says that he doesn't care because the fearmongering increases ratings. April argues that the news has a duty to keep the public informed for the greater good, but Thompson tells her to get back to work.
April visits the Turtles and tells them about the doppelgangers, and Donatello writes an algorithm to help him determine where they're likely to strike next. The Nega-Turtles have been striking businesses with high cash flow and low security, leading the program to determine that the next potential target is...
The Low Key Cat Cafe, where the Nega-Turtles already are. Dark Raph tells the clerk that they "deserve" to be robbed because he hates punny business names. As they exit, they are confronted by this dimension's Turtles. Dark Raph recognizes Michelangelo as someone they've tangled with before, but Dark Donnie says that according to multiversal theory it's likely not the same guy.
The two sets of Turtles clash, and despite this dimension's Turtles having the advantage of numbers, the Nega-Turtles overwhelm them and steal the Turtle Van. Raph can't believe Don left the keys in the van, but Don states that they have them right where they want them. Leo is perplexed by his answer.
The Nega-Turtles speed down the road and clip a parked Ultimate Rat Catcher (breaking it slightly and scattering its numerous parking tickets) and almost run over Vernon. Dark Leo attempts to get into the van's weapons system, but is locked out and greeted with Don on-camera. Don taunts them by describing all of the security measures he's built into the Turtle Van as they're happening - the doors suddenly lock, he takes control of the steering remotely, and then a sleeping gas knocks them out. Raph notes that last part seems a little too "superspy", and Don says that he got it from Dirk Savage from his brief stint at D.U.D.E.
Mikey wonders how they're going to send Nega-Turtles back home, and Leo asks for clarity how he knows who them. Mike mentions his adventures with the Genie, but Leo dismisses him with a "whatever". Don says they can just dump them somewhere through his Portable Portal Generator but Raph is exasperated at the idea of them having to carry them.
The Nega-Turtles wake up on a golf course in Dimension Z, and Dark Raph is hit in the face by a golf ball. Mr. Ogg gets mad at them for blocking his shot and snaps them back to their home world.
Back at the Lair, Leo says now they've got to clear their names. Mike points out that April is reporting on the apprehension of the Crooked Ninja Turtle Gang, with them taking the fall for the Nega-Turtles' crimes, even though they protest that they were "evil mutant turtles" terrorizing the city with them being blamed for it. Raph notes that it's good that it all got wrapped up just in time to end the issue and winks at the reader when saying hopefully their timely good luck isn't a prelude to something worse.
While Old Hob still works on the dimensional portal back in the Foot HQ, Krang plays with his new body. Hob is annoyed that he's messing around while he's working, but Krang tells him that since he's got untold amounts of new power, he can threaten new terms of their deal into him - once the Pantheon is recovered, he is to be made their new leader. Hob says they won't follow an Utrom, but Krang has a plan.
Notes and trivia[]
- The imagery used in Vernon's broadcast on the Nega-Turtles resembles the Archie continuity incarnation of Slash.
