  • First Karai's revealed as Miwa...

Then Karai whines about her mom getting killed by Splinter, or in Nick's kid-friendly way "Getting taken away"...

And then Karai figures out the truth and reunites with Splinter, her real father, only for ass-wad Shredder to mutate her, then blame Spinter for it...

And NOW, she's brainwashed and back on the Footclan!

Kind of reminds me about an annoying never-ending Japanese cartoon where to took 50 or more seasons for the emo-kid to end up as the best friend again. The show was Naruto-Naruto Shipponen.

So it's very likely that Karai will be a willing idiot until the final episode of the show.

So the real question is this...is Karai going to be the 'Sasuke'?

    • The show does seem to be dragging this out quite a lot.

    • I hope not, it will lose momentum and ruin the overall pace of the show just for us to feel bad for her. It's a poor choice in writing so here's hoping they resolve this quickly, even if it must be a 5 parter, it can be handled very well with the right writers.

    • I'm hoping that something happened to Karai related to her brainwashing in the Deadly Venom after Leo did the whole healing hands move on her and she ended up running away. My hope is that the healing hands snapped her out of the brainwashing but it left her terrified and that's why she ran away, so now the turtles just have to find her and reunite her with her father!

I suspect the Healing Hands did have some kind of effect. We just don't know what it is yet.

      I want to know soon!

I beleive Karai made an attempt at Splinter's life, but 'daddy-rat' saved his daughter by using his Healing Hnads and expelling the brainwashing slug.

But you know what's funny? Earlier, it seemed that Shredder was filling Karai's brain with slugs, so I figured removing one wouldn't be enough, but then again, maybe those 'brain slugs' were eaten one-by-one by the original worm, who looked a bit bigger when we saw it after Karai spat it out. So Karai MIGHT be free, but her bain-slug might be far from finished with her and the turtles. Since it was made to keep it's victims from straying from Shredder's commands, this bigger brain-slug might evolve into something more terrible and may join the Shredder as another monster/mutant servant.

But this is just speculation from a fan, nothing to get worked up about. I would still like to see the development team take this idea from me and consider it in future developments...
