  • The fact that this episode is full of homage and paradoy of role playing games and gamers, is it possible that Milton is a Sparrow as a refeence to the Sparrow Eagles sample characters from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Other Strangenesses RPG?  Since In Dreams referenced the Terror Bears is it possible the series writers have been dropping other more subtle Easter Eggs all along including Milton?

If so; curious what other Easter Egg references to the RPG we can find.

Shame that the Terror Bears and other exclusive characters to the Paladium games are owned by them; would have been nice to actually had the Terror Bears instead of the Dream Beavers or maybe see the Rat Pack.

    • I'd say it's a very tenuous link. The Dream Beavers being super close to the Terror Bears may not even be a true reference but holds a lot more weight than Martin's species.

    • I wouldn't call a group of four Care Bear homages with death and horror themed belly symbols who use what is clearly a homage to the Mind Trap psionic power to be a tenous link really. O_o

    • Nah, I was saying Martin being a sparrow was tenuous. The Beavers being Terror Bear references is more substantial but I'm still not 100% convinced. One would think they'd just use the Bears, unless Ciro and the crew liked Beavers instead or the Bears are actually owned by Palladium.

If anybody has contact with Ciro or the episode's writer, I would love confirmation ^_^

    • The bears are owned by Palladium

    • Okay, I actually didn't know that.

Anyway, my point was, while it's my opinion that the Terror Bears are likely directly inspiration for the Beavers, I don't know what the team had in mind when they designed them.

    • If we operate on the assumption the bears inspired the beavers, the sparrow connection is more likely.

Doctor Farrell refers to Victor Oban Feral so this alao strengthens those two.

    • Since this thread opened, I created an article for the Sparrow-Eagles, and Martin Milton is in the trivia section.
