  • I think that out of the four turtles that Donatello had the worst experience. I would like to see what other people think.

    • Just to clarify before people get confused: I am talking about the events of Same as it Never Was in the 2003 television series.

    • Hard to say; Donnie’s definitely had the harshest experiences Emotional Wise; from SAINW too Good Genes too dealing with the depression of thinking he caused Splinter’s death in “Back to the Sewers”… (And let’s not forget all the stuff he’s already been put through in the 2012 series.) Leonardo on the other hand has had both Emotional AND Physical Turmoil… (Of course most of his is self inflicted)

Leo got quit a bit of character development out of the deal, but Don just seemed to get a whole lot of pity and misfortune…
Personally I still can’t understand 'BTTS' with Don playing Leonardo 2.0 “Return of his Royal Grouchy-ness,” for the first 5 Episodes. After going through “Same as it Never Was” and having to watch his brothers die, there’s just No Way he would treat them like he did… It just doesn’t make since.

All in all I think your right, Donatello definitely had it the hardest, but Leo’s a quick 2nd.

    • Well most of the situations you brought up deal play of Donatello's greatest fear which is not being able to prevent the demise of his family and loved ones.

The "Same As It Never Was" story line we never see an aftermath of, because out of all of them the place Donatello went to could have still happend. I mean he was more or less in Emotional shock when he was saying "My brothers...my poor poor brothers." but afterwards he visibly seems to go off and pretend nothing happened.

And Splinter being defragmented in BTTS only added to it.

Good Genes I think was more Leo's issue then it was Donnie's because, Donatello says he has no memory of the time he was a monster. He only knows something happened.

Leo's fear is failure, he failed his younger brother by not realizing the cold may not actually be a normal cold. And that scene where they were coping and trying to figure out what to do about Donnie's situation, he was also turning over what he may have to do if Donatello is unable to be returned to normal.

    • Well, peronally I think all the turtles have it hard.

Leo has a hard time trying to be a good leader

Raph and Mikey are both misunderstood A LOT

Donnie just... has a hard time

    • After seeing IDW 44, I think TMNT media is a lot more tougher on Donnie.

    • MNT Gaiden hasn't harder on Donatello as well, because his creativity and sense of reality was taken he believes he is cursed to live a dark reality.
