If you have thoughts on Darkest Plight, write it here.
My thoughts:
The Turtles, April, Casey and Karai teams up and recruits the Mighty Mutanimals to rescue Splinter from the Foot Clan and Super Shredder.

Well, after seeing how they adapted the Splinter story, it's tempting, but...is Raphael back to his old personality, or does he have a completely new personality? It was hard to watch him become such an unrecognizable stranger as the episodes and writers moved on.
Okay, it's like this.
Yes, the space arc was awful. But for me it's not enough for the series to return to the level of depth and character development of season 3. It needs to be as good as season 1 or 2. Character continuity. Everything less one-dimensional. I know that seldom happens in long-running TV shows as most of them are continually reformulated over time. But I suppose the level of continuity and attention to detail in TMNT comics has spoilt me. If the second half of season 4 is indeed returning to a depth similar to that of season 1 or 2, that's good. But if the characters are still not adhering to the continuity of season 1 or 2 but are completely retooled, then it's still might as well be an entirely different TV series with a cast of strangers.
For me, a good series has development and change over time, but continually honors its continuity and has very few retcons; though such series tend to have fewer writers in more control over that continuity over a longer period of time than is typical. By comparison, Mirage TMNT had very few retcons in its canon over a quarter century of comics; the only retcon that comes to mind is when Casey's full name was changed from "Casey Bernid Jones" to "Arnold Casey Jones," and that wasn't even enough to affect anything significant. I can't think of a single retcon in IDW TMNT since 2011. Archie TMNT had some retcons partway through, but mainly to divorce itself more fully from the 1987 TV series continuity, and largely stayed true to its revised continuity for the rest of the series.
Well I can't tell you if you're going to like them or not, thats on you. I'm just saying IMO these episodes are a lot better. In the latest episode, one of the turtles dies, and right after, Raph gets up and makes an angry growl as he loved is brother and he shows that through anger, on the person that killed him. Give em a try, you can tell the writers are trying, and if you don't like them, then at least you'll know, but I think you should give em a crack.
Also, you might just want to skip Inescta Trifecta... just a heads up as it features someone I know you don't like. Stay clear of that ep.
No no no, he SHOULD watch it, as it points out a really dark sub-text brewing between them!
Well, it wouldn't be the first TMNT continuity where Donatello died and was brought back to life.
Or Splinter! They're main characters, whadja expect? Something that effects ALL media.
Ok, this is off topic, but from what I hear, more episodes are coming out December 4th but some people say January or February... which is true?
