Thomas Wayne was the CEO of Wayne Enterprises as well as the husband of Martha Wayne and father of Bruce Wayne.
Thomas was an advocate of Bruce experiencing exciting things and of adults keeping in touch with their childhoods. For this reason, he took Martha and Bruce to see Mark of Zorro at the Monarch Theater, which he had visited as a lad. Outside the theater, Bruce purchased four turtles after he convinced Martha it was a good idea. As the Waynes were taking a shortcut to their car, a truck carrying dangerous chemicals sped down the alley. Thomas pushed Bruce to safety, but he and Martha ultimately met their end under its wheels.
