Voice-over introduction

Raphael: "Ever see one of those old movies where the private eye wakes up after being knocked out cold? He always says the same thing:"

Raphael: "Uh, where am I?"

Raphael: "Okay, so it's not exactly original, but it's true, I have no idea where I am. Is this an operating room? Torture chamber? TV game show? Last thing I remember, I was bapping a bunch of street thugs with Casey."

Raphael: "Hey, where is Casey? Agh!"

Raphael: "Okay, definitely not the game show."

Plot summary

In Oroku Saki's palace, Hun tells Saki about the "turtle costume wearing freaks." Saki is angry for the Turtles have foiled his plans too many times. He accuses Hun and Baxter Stockman of screwing up and allowing the mutants to ruin things. The angry Foot leader orders the pair of underlings to cooperate for a change to find and, possibly, destroy the mutants.

Meanwhile, Splinter is teaching the TMNT a lesson about the “Way of Invisibility”. The training session is not going too well when Casey Jones arrives at the lair unexpectedly (and uninvited), causing things to go from bad to worse as Jones becomes the annoying guest who would not leave. However, Casey did come for a reason, to show the Turtles pictures of the graffiti going up all over the city that threatens the Turtles. Casey wants Raph and the others to go topside and teach these disrespectful taggers a lesson, but the ninjas smell a trap and tell Jones the bad graffiti is not worth troubling about. The TMNT return to their training training as Casey kicks back, showing no sign that he intends to leave anytime soon. Eventually, Splinter has Raphael bring Casey up to the surface while the others continue their training lesson.

I give you the foot tech ninjas

Baxter presents the Foot Tech Ninja.

When Casey and Raph get up to the surface, they happen upon several Purple Dragons spray-painting more graffiti. Casey and Raph easily defeat the three Dragons, but suddenly reinforcements arrive - Baxter Stockman's Foot Tech Ninjas - and they have the power of invisibility! Raph correctly deduces that these bad guys are wearing cloaking devices that make them invisible to the naked eye. Both Raph and Casey are knocked out. The Foot Tech Ninjas take Raphael, but leave Casey to the Purple Dragons to deal with.

Utrom artifack

Stockman eyes the Utrom exoskeleton.

When Raphael comes to, he discovers that he's strapped to an examination table, surrounded by probes and other medical equipment, in some sort of lab. Hun and Stockman are observing him. Seeing Raph gain consciousness, Hun begins to question him, while Stockman stays in the background waiting for his chance to dissect this strange creature.

In the meantime, Casey escapes the Dragons and returns to the lair and explains what happened to Raphael. While the tale of invisible ninjas is a little hard to swallow, there is no denying that Raph has been kidnapped, so the crew heads out to find their missing brother by using the transponder in his Shell-Cell to tr

ack him. Don hands out his new "TurtleVision" goggles, which should allow them to at least see thermal images of the invisible ninjas.

As the guys are heading out in search of Raph, he quite unexpectedly and easily manages to escape. When the fugitive Turtle climbs the stairs from the lab, he discovers that he's on a yacht in the middle of the Hudson River. No problem, since Turtles are amphibious! Raph jumps off the ship and swims to shore. Watching his escape are Hun and Stockman. It turns out that the escape has all been prearranged in the hopes that Raphael will lead the Foot Tech Ninjas to the rest of the mutants. Stockman explains to Hun that his invisible soldiers will follow Raph without him even knowing he is being trailed.

Raphael and the others meet up in the sewer tunnels far from the lair, and assume all is well until suddenly they are under attack from invisible forces. Don instructs everyone to put on their TurtleVision goggles and they are able to see thermal images of the Foot Tech Ninjas. With the odds now evened, the TMNT and Casey are able to defeat the Foot and return home to the security of their lair.

Hun grins as Stockman is taken away for failing again.

Hun and Stockman are now left to deal with Saki’s wrath one more time due to another botched mission. However, based on his brief period of interrogation, Hun tells Saki that he does not believe the mutants know anything about Saki, the Foot, or Saki’s enemies, The Guardians.

A Guardian spy reports to a trio of odd individuals that the strange Turtle creatures are apparently not aligned with Saki, at least not yet. The trio tells the spy to learn all he can about these creatures, and they will wait for more information before taking any action against them.

Quotes

Splinter: A creative mind must be balanced by a disciplined body. We must learn stillness and alertness. For they are the only defense against the unexpected.

Splinter: Please forgive my rash actions.
[Casey is helped off the ground]
Casey: No problemo.
Splinter: Although next time, you would be wise to heed the ancient Japanese proverb: Phone first.

Raphael: [To Casey] You didn't come all the way down here for the nickel tour. What's the 4-1-1 streetside?
Casey: Graffiti. It's everywhere. All over town. [Mikey exchanges a look with Don]
Michelangelo: And I think I speak for everyone in the room when I say, duh.
Donatello: We're New Yorkers, Casey. We've seen graffiti before.
Casey: Uh-uh, not this kind.
[Casey holds up a picture of a graffiti drawing of a spear skewering four turtles]
Casey: I think someone's trying to send you a message.

Casey: Wait, don't you guys wanna put the smackdown on the scum who did this?
Michelangelo: Well, yeah. But it smells way too much like a setup.
Donatello: Someone's just trying to get under our shells. Why should we stoop to their level?
Casey: But this is a matter of honor! What about all that bushidoodoo stuff you guys always talk about?
Leonardo: That's Bushido, which has nothing to do with payback for a bunch of nasty wall doodles.

[Splinter tells Raphael to take Casey up to the surface]
Michelangelo: And that's how they defeated The Thing that Wouldn't Leave!

Raphael: They must have some kinda...whadaya call it...cloaking device.
Casey: "Cloaking device"? What are they, Klingons?

Hun: [Holding Raph's Sai] This is some nice steel. How about you tell me who gave them to you?
Raphael: Yo mama.

Splinter: [To Casey] Where is Raphael?
Casey: The invisible ninjas took 'em.
Michelangelo: Invisible ninjas, huh? This story wouldn't involve Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny, by any chance?

Leonardo: We'd better find Raph quick before he brings back some seriously unwanted houseguests!
Michelangelo: Yeah, we've already got one of those. (looks at Casey)

[A Foot Tech Ninja holds Casey over a whirlpool]
Oroku Saki: Another operation marred by the sickening stench of defeat! No doubt you are both well aware of my extremely limited tolerance of failure!
Baxter Stockman: It was his fault! This bumbling oaf let the creature escape!

Oroku Saki: The plan was sound, and yet your creations failed to, as you put it, "deliver the goods."
Baxter Stockman: Wait! Were are you taking me? Get your hands off me! I made you! I am your creator!

Foot Tech Ninja: My grip is loosening. I suggest you drop your weapons now.
Casey: Don't do it guys! I'm not worth it!
Donatello: You know, he's got a point.
Leonardo: You're starting to sound like Mikey, Don.
