Summary[]

Prologue: Armed with a hockey stick and wearing his mask, Casey Jones hops from rooftop to rooftop. He patrols his neighborhood, aiming to keep it clean of crime. Soon he comes upon a theft in progress on the street below. An entire gang of punks are taking things from the back of a truck. Determined to teach them all that crime doesn’t pay, Casey leaps into their midst and begins swinging.

He is soon making short work of the inexperienced fighters, though one jabs him in the arm. A dwarf in a cape turns to a huge man he calls “Big Joe” and orders him to end the battle now. Big Joe walks up behind Casey and easily lifts him overhead before smashing him into the ground. Casey is knocked out cold and the dwarf says they will make an example of him.

Nearby, the Turtles have heard the sounds of the fight and go to investigate. They are disappointed to have missed the fight, but then Raphael finds Casey’s hockey stick. That discovery leads to a trail of blood and the Turtles follow it for several minutes. The trail ends at an old building and the Turtles scale the fire escape to the one window where a light shines through.

A chilling sight greets them; Casey is tied to a chair, and the dwarf stands next to him with a hypodermic in his hand. He informs Casey that he is about to die from an overdose of sushi. The Turtles all leap at the same time, crashing through the window and part of the wall. They tell the dwarf to back off and Raphael informs him that they’re taking Casey and if there’s any interference, he’s spam.

The dwarf begs to differ. He holds up his hand to display a skull shaped ring on his finger and announces that he leads the Ring of Death. He also tells the Turtles that it is an honor to die by their hands. The Turtles pick up Casey, chair and all, and take off running. The dwarf flees before them, shouting that he’s going to tell his big brother on them. As a fight with the rest of the gang begins, Casey yells to be untied, but the Turtles keep telling him there is no time.

Suddenly, the lights go out. The Turtles want to know where the dwarf went, and he responds that he’s right there. Behind him is Big Joe, who is dressed like a Sumo wrestler. The dwarf orders Big Joe to put an end to the battle.

Big Joe attacks, gripping Donatello by the throat. Donatello counters by striking Big Joe’s neck with his and leaping onto his chest. As he fights, he begins lecturing Big Joe that being big doesn’t mean anything, what’s important is being on the side of right. Then you add some skill, some training and endurance to get over the rough spots. Donatello adds one last thing as he drops Big Joe flat on the floor, that when everything and everyone around you fails, one must have the courage to carry on alone.

The dwarf responds by saying that the ability to bore people to death doesn’t hurt either. Donatello says he might be trite, but they are taking Casey out of there. Once more, Casey asks to be untied and they finally release him from the chair. The dwarf tells them to get out. He’s embarrassed and his feelings are really hurt.

Casey and the Turtles exit the building and Donatello lectures Casey to pick better odds next time. Casey claims he had the gang in the palm of his hand and the other Turtles tell him to call the cops. Casey looks to borrow a dime from Donatello, who asks if it looks like he carries spare change. As the sun starts to rise, the Turtles begin climbing the side of a building. Casey asks where they’re going, and Raphael says it’s daybreak. Leonardo tells him they have to hit the roofs and the Turtles bid their friend goodbye.
