[Opening sequence and theme song.]
[Open on a Samurai movie.]
Hero "Dishonorable wretches, for your sordid infamy, you must be punished."
Villain "[laughs] Even your mighty sword will prove ineffectual against we twenty."
Hero "You are my enemy. I disapprove of your actions."
[The hero wields his sword against a number of enemies. His blade breaks all of theirs. The hero then sheathes his sword and uses his fists to conclude the fight. The hero walks away, leaving his enemies sprawled on the grass.]
Villain "[groans] Truly we have been reprimanded for our contemptible misdeeds."
[Pan out to the Turtle Lair where the Turtles are seated in front of the television. The movie ends.]
Leonardo "[sighs] Now, that's what I call a movie."
Raphael "[sighs] Now, that's what I call a cheapie."
Leonardo "Oh, come on. Didn't you see where he disarmed those twenty guys with a single swipe of his sword?"
Michelangelo "Yeah, and some help from the special-effects dudes."
Donatello "Leonardo, that's physically impossible."
Leonardo "Back then, nothing was impossible. In Ancient Japan, a ninja lived by his wits and his martial-arts skills. Those were the days."
Donatello "Hey, let's talk to Master Splinter. He's always got a story about the history of the Foot Clan."
Leonardo "Good idea. I could use a dose of nostalgia."
[They enter Splinter’s room, but find him kneeling on the floor, eyes tightly closed as his body shakes.]
Leonardo "Master Splinter, what's wrong?"
Donatello "This isn't one of his usual trances."
Michelangelo "Sensei, snap out of it."
[Splinter suddenly opens his eyes and shouts.]
Leonardo "Master, are you okay?"
Splinter "I-- I felt a strange sensation. As if the voices of my ancestors were reaching across the vast sea of history and crying out for help."
[Cut to the Museum of Fine Arts. Inside are several Foot Soldiers dressed in guard uniforms. Shredder walks through the museum until he locates a red crystal, which he plucks from the eye of a statue.]
Shredder "Perfect. This ruby is exactly the temporal-focusing crystal I need for my Time Portal.
At last, I shall be able to travel through time.
Now to destroy Splinter and those accursed Turtles once and for all by changing history."
[He places the ruby into the Time Portal that is set up in the museum. He sets the device to the year 1583.]

[He grabs a suitcase and steps into the activated portal. Shredder arrives in a wooded area.]

[Back at the lair, Splinter is packing a bag.]
Splinter "We must make haste. I sense that something is terribly wrong."
Donatello "Master, what do you want our ninja cloaks for?"
Splinter "There is no time to explain, Donatello. We must hurry to the Fine Arts Museum."
Donatello "The Fine Arts Museum?"
Raphael "Guys, Master Splinter may have finally stepped off the curb."
[The Turtles follow Splinter out of the lair. In ancient Japan, Shredder approaches a group of armed guards. They bar his way.]
Shredder "I wish to see your master, Oroku Sansho."
Guardsman "You wear the helmet of our master. That is treason."
[Shredder backs up when the guards point their yari at him.]
Shredder "Ignorant fools."
[He takes out a laser pistol and blasts their weapons, making them disintegrate. He runs past the guards and throws an explosive at the gate, blowing the doors off their hinges. He enters the palace grounds and approaches the palace, but other guards run after him. Shredder stops long enough to take a star shaped object from his suitcase and throw it on the ground in front of them.]
Shredder "Out of my way, cretins."
[The objects shoots lasers from each of its points. The laser hit each of the guardsmen and take them down. Shredder continues running towards the palace, but arrows begin raining down around him. He points a projectile at men on a balcony and launches it. The tip explodes, dropping the archers. Shredder enters the palace and kicks down the door leading to the throne room. On the throne platform is an armored suit. It’s owner peers around the corner of a decorated screen.]
Oroku Sansho "Uh, I-- I'll give you whatever you want, but please do not hurt me."
Shredder "I am one of your descendants. Oroku Saki. I have traveled here from the future to give you power and wealth beyond your wildest dreams."
[This promise draws Sansho out of hiding.]
Sansho "Wealth and power? Mmm. Very well. Give them to me."
Shredder "In the woods near this castle are two magical relics. If you will allow me to command your men, Oroku Sancho, I will bring you the artifacts, making you the most powerful warlord in Japan."
Sansho "Oh, but why do you wish to help me? And why do you wear a copy of my war helmet?
You wish to use my men to gain this power for yourself. Ah, now that I know of these items, I don't need you. [laughs] I can find them for myself."
[He runs to a nearby weapon stand and draws a sword.]

Shredder "You fool.
I'm an Oroku too.
I'm on your side."
[He grabs Sansho.]
I'm an Oroku too.
[He disarms Sansho.]
I'm on your side."
[Shredder soon has Sansho tied up in the room behind the decorative screens.]
Sansho "Oh, please let me out. I-- I'll give you anything."
[Shredder shuts the screen and heads for the armored suit.]
Shredder "It appears I'll have to impersonate my arrogant young ancestor.
I have captured the intruder and locked him in a secret chamber. Rally your best men, General. We're heading for the forest."
[Wearing Sansho’s armor, Shredder goes outside to address the guards.]

[He mounts a horse and rides through the gates. Elsewhere, in the woods, a young man walks along a path.]
Hamato Koji "How much longer must I keep wandering in these woods? My sensei told me that if I search this forest, I would find what I need to start my own ninja clan. I wonder if he wasn't fooling with me."
[Koji comes to a sudden stop when he finds his way blocked by Shredder and his guards.]
Shredder "Hamato Koji, your search is at an end. Attack!"
