"The Good, The Bad, and Casey Jones" is the thirty-fourth episode of the series. It aired on February 2, 2014.

Plot Synopsis

In a voiceover, Casey Jones courageously vows to eliminate ALL of the Mutant and crime threats that have come to inhabit New York City (as he thinks it is his calling and his destiny). He speaks about how this evil has come simply too close to harming his close friends and family members and he will not allow it to happen once more. In a time lapse, Casey begins preparing himself by excersicing hard and, after a while, he dons his distinctive hockey mask, grabs his two hockey sticks, baseball bat (and many other weapons), and further prepares himself for all of the battles that are soon to come.

Down in the sewers, the Turtles commence in a disorganized, free-for-all spar with one another on the orders of their Master Splinter. They must make an improvement to their perception of finding either strengths or weaknesses. Both Mikey and Donnie are defeated suprisingly quickly and eliminated from the match, but Leo and Raph are not. The two remaining brothers then face each other. Both Leo and Raph waste no time in disarming one another of their weapons, but when Raph pursues one of his missing twin weapons, it turns out that he isn't focusing quite well enough and unkowningly leaves himself vulnerable to Leonardo, who runs right up from behind the tree and strikes Raph in the face with his knee. Raph is greatly dissatisfied with this, however, and he ends up pummeling Leo really hard in retaliation, leaving his brother lying nearly unconsious on the ground. Both his two other brothers and Splinter condemn this awfully rash action (even though Raphael claims that he was just determined to win), so he decides on leaving the lair to both think about what he has done and get a breath of fresh air. When up on the surface, Raph expresses how his brothers seem to have such a very hard time understanding what his actual motives are....

He soon hears a nearby fracas, which turns out to be The Purple Dragons constructing one of their back alley operations. They are coercing a defenseless man into giving his wallet to them. The muggers do end up getting their wish, but then Casey shows up and begins to fight with them, conveniently allowing the victim to escape. Casey proves to be quite a challenge for them, and he is quickly able to subdue all of them in single combat (and use his hockey pucks). Unbeknownst to him, however, Raphael is watching this from a rooftop. Ironically, Raphael says to himself, "That guy is out of control!" Seeing how Casey is about to mercilessly take them out, Raph intervenes and grabs Casey's hockey stick away from him. Casey is kind of shocked to see yet another Mutant, but this does not intimidate him; The 'street-banging vigilante' once again springs into action. Raph and Casey's brawl unfortunately allows the three reprobates to escape, upon which Casey begins blaming Raph for actually allowing them to flee. An even more heated fight ensues, but neither seems to be able to mantain the upper hand for that long. In the end of the duel, however, Casey manages to electrocute Raph with some type of tailor-made stunner, and the former then manages to escape by jumping onto the rear end of a passing taxi cab. Raphael also retreats.

The next day, at Roosevelt High School, April and her newly introduced friend, Irma, walk up to Casey, who is sifting through stuff in his locker at that moment. When he turns around to talk with them, it is revealed that a bandage is going across his noise and bruises are situated all over his face. They then ask what happened, but to no avail - Casey lies that he recieved the injuries at the hockey rink, which both Irma and April have a hard time believing, as they both know that the rink was closed ever since the mysterious fight broke out there a few months back. Irma then proceeds to her next class to take a Trig exam, forcing April to come along with her (though Casey is able to reveal to April that he fought with a crazy Mutant the other night).

The following night, in the lair, Raph actually mutters an apology to Leo for his behavior a couple nights back. However, Donnie and Mikey end up getting on Raph's very last nerve and both of them humorously insult him, which once again causes Raph to become angry, and this forces/provokes him to leave the lair yet again!

Elsewhere, Casey is sitting on a fire escape that is seemingly near the exact same rooftop that he was on before, taking numerous notes (and drawing), thinking about Raph, and commenting that he is quite a worthy opponent. Coincidentally, he spots Raph kicking stuff around on another rooftop not long after and goes into the sewers. Casey deicides to follow Raph by following the sound of his petulant yells and comments. But unbeknownst to Casey, however, a squad of Foot-Bots are following him too.

In the lair, the Turtles are all watching TV. Unbeknownst to the turtles, however, Casey discovers the Turtles' lair, and becomes aghast when he sees more turtles. However, he accidentially reveals his own presence by dropping a metal fork, and all of the Turtles are soon onto him. At that moment, April comes out of a room after training with Splinter when she too is stunned to see Casey because the Turtles are bound to make the connection that she knows him, which they do. April then bluntly inquires what Casey is doing there, and in turn, he asks what she is doing with a bunch of Mutants. She grudgingly explains that the Turtles were the 'friends' that she told him about much earlier, and then, she introduces all of them. Due to their names, Casey inquires if they are Italian, but Splinter then appears, saying that he chose to name them after his favorite sculptors & painters from the Italian renaissance. Casey is so stunned to see an enormous rat that he passes out. He is soon woken up by April. She introduces Casey to the peaceful Splinter, which makes the teenager nervous to see a "giant-talking rat." Raph is then prompted to laugh at Casey because he has a fear of rats, while Mikey points out that Raph has his paralyzing fear of of cockroaches. Just then, April suddenly senses the Foot-Bots' nearby presence with her very acute hearing sense. The Foot-Bots then disturb the sanctity by showing themselves and beginning to invade the lair, much to everyone's utter shock and dismay....

The team manages to hold their ground pretty well, and they slowly begin to defeat some of the robots, one by one, though more keep entering. One robot stands alone from the fight, apparently scanning the location of the lair. Fearing that he will inform somebody else of their location, Splinter advises them to keep the robot from escaping, so Raph and Casey ultimately decide to put their hostility towards each other behind themselves and go after the robot (who is now running out of the lair) together, while the others stay behind to defeat the other Foot-Bots. During this side-adventure, both Casey and Raph actually rescue each other (Raph, from getting run over by a train - and Casey from getting thrown off the top of the train by the robot), which further strengthens the two's budding friendship. After numerous attempts to subdue the wild robot, Raph gives Casey a boost and the latter finally manages to incapacitate it by electrocution. He does this only seconds before the robot can successfully reach the streets, and Raphael then throws his sai directly into it's head, finishing it off.

The two then head back to the lair and find that all the Foot-Bots there have already been destroyed as well. The two then engage in a miniature celebration due to their victory, showing that they are now best buds. Splinter sees that Raph now has a new ally and thanks Casey for his efforts to help his family. Casey doesn't mind because now he has someone to help him in "cleaning the scum off of the streets." Poor Donnie then begins to realize that now they have "two Raphaels" -- and the two new best friends then head up to the streets looking for a wide variety of skulls to bust....

Quotes

"Sorry, Donnie! It's a ninja-eat-ninja world!"
— Raph spars free-for-all

Raph: What are you DOING? I was going for Mikey!

Leo: What part of 'last turtle standing' do you not understand?

--

Raph: Looks like we're down to the boss fight…

Leo: I'm gonna wipe that smirk off your face… permanently.

-Raph and Leo share a little friendly banter

Donnie: RAPH! What are you DOING?

Raph: I… I didn't mean to hurt him! It was an accident! Seriously!

Leo: Ugh… Did you guys get the number of that bus?

Splinter: Raphael, we have spoken about this before. Anger is a dangerous ally.

Raph: But I wasn't angry, I was just… determined to win!

Casey: You boys picked the wrong night…

Fong: Nice outfit… Pfft, who's this clown?

Casey: I'm the last guy you'll see before you wake up in the hospital…

-Casey seriously has better hero lines than Leo

"That guy's outta control… Time for a little intervention…"
— Raph is totally not a hypocrite

Casey: Another mutant?

Raph: You gotta problem with that?

Casey: Wait, what are you, like, some kinda turtle ninja?

"You know, anger is a dangerous ally! So why don't you cool off for awhile!"
— Raph still isn't a hypocrite (not)

Casey: Gotta admit… the throwing stars are cool.

Raph: Let me show you my sai...

"Heh… Aren't turtles supposed to be endangered?"
— Casey Jones

"What am I DOING? Maybe I DO have anger issues…"
— And Raph is finally not a hypocrite

Casey: You ain't seen the last of me, turtle!

Raph: YEAH! You BETTER run! Or… SKITCH…! WHATEVER!

-Someone needs to work on his comebacks

April: Well, well… Casey Jones finally makes it to school. You ready for the big trig exam?

Casey: Trig exam? Oh, yeah… I was up all night… studying…

April: Wow… Did your homework punch you in the face?

Raph: Hey, Leo… Gotta minute?

Leo: I was gonna check out Super Robo Mecha Force.

Raph: Cool… So, here's the deal… See, I… Me… Ugh… I'm, um… -whispers- sorry…

Leo: What… was that?

Raph: I-I said I was… sorry… Sor-ry! Ok! SORRY! I thought I had my anger under control. Turns out, I didn't. By now, I do. Seriously!

Mikey: He means 'for now'. I'll give him ten more seconds… Nine… Eight… Sevan…

Leo: What are you saying, Raph? It's not that you ARE angry, but we MAKE you angry?

Raph: I never said that!

Mikey: Three… Two… One…

Raph: SHUT UP!!

Mikey: Bing bing bing! We have a winner!

"It's been three days and my body STILL feels like a punching bag. That turtle's a worthy opponent, I'll give him that."
— Casey Jones journalizes

"Anger issues? I don't have anger issues! Maybe THEY have anger issues...!"
— Raphael rants

Raph: You guys watch so much TV your brains are gonna rot…

Donnie: Yay, Raph's back...

Leo: You cool off yet, man?

Raph: I'm always cool. Move over.

Donnie: Intruder!

Casey: Oh, man...

-Even Casey Jones knows when he's screwed

April: Don't hurt him! He's my friend! Casey, what are you DOING here?

Casey: A better question is, how do you know these freaks?

April: These are the… other friends I told you about…

Casey: Wait, so they're NOT the bad guys?

April: No way! -sigh- Casey Jones, meet Leonardo… Donatello… Michelangelo…

Mikey: What up? -gets smacked by Raph-

April: And the one and only Raphael…

Casey: So, the turtles are all… Italian?

Splinter: No… I named them after my favorite painters and sculptors of the Italian Renaissance.

Casey: -screams and faints-

April: Casey? Casey! Wake up! -slaps him, and he wakes up- This is Master Splinter, Casey. He's cool.

Splinter: You do not need to fear me, my friend. Rest assured, I do not bite.

Casey: He's a t-talking rat?

Raph: -laughs- Big bad vigilante is afraid of rats! -sees cockroach in Mikey's hand, screams, and pulls himself into his shell-

Mikey: Ha! Just like you and cockroaches, huh Raph?

-People (and turtles and rats) are introduced, and Raph proves still farther that he is NOT a hypocrite

Raph: This is your fault!

Casey: Hey, they were following you too, dude!

Raph: Don't 'dude' me, dude!

-More friendly banter

Donnie: Stop messing around! You'll blow us to Philadelphia!

Mikey: Sorry, D.

Raph: You're a pretty good fighter, Jones. Sure, you're raw, unfocused, crazy… But not bad.

Casey: You're not too bad yourself… For an amphibian.

Donnie: Great, you know what this means, right. Now we have TWO RAPHAELS!!
