Synopsis
Jennika is going about her business, patrolling Mutant Town for potential escapees. She stops and talks to Mrs. Gonzalez, an elderly mutant squirrel, before she sees a mutant rabbit attempting to bail from the city. She ends up running into the place she and her old boyfriend used to squat in when they were homeless. Just as she catches up to the rabbit, however, he is caught in a net by some humans. Attempting to rescue her quarry from them, she realizes that these humans are Purple Dragons. The situations is defused by the Dragons' leader Casey Jones, and an awkward conversation ensued between he and Jennika. Casey and the Dragons move on, and as Jennika starts taking the rabbit back to Mutant Town, she stops and sees a fragrance ad with a blonde, blue-eyed fashion model.
The rabbit tries to make a little small talk, realizing that Casey was probably a former flame, and mentions that luckily his girlfriend had also changed. Jennika yells at him and tells him to shut up, and asks what he was doing outside of the zone anyway. The rabbit tells him his name is Vincent and that he had left to get his drumsticks, as he has a gig at the Kennel Klub, a Mutant Town rave establishment.
Jennika joins the party as Vincent and his band play, dancing in the crowd and losing herself in the music, flashing back on her times as a human, with Casey, and Splinter. A mutant bull and baboon see her and condescendingly insist that she can't handle the mosh pit, attacking her. Jennika fights them off, reasoning that at one point she would have just ignored them and moved on, but because of actions like that, that guys like them had never had to learn their lesson.
Jennika is caught mid-punch by a mohawked mutant punk, who she realizes is her former boyfriend Silas. Flashing back to not only the "good" times they had together, but the robbery that she was an accomplice to and her subsequent arrest due to his abandonment, she slugs him one. The punch makes Silas realize who she is.
As Jennika tries to walk away, Silas follows her and tries to talk with her. Jennika unloads on him that it had been 10 years since he bailed on her and she'd never seen him since. Silas attempts to apologize and says he thought she was right behind them, and had looked for her for at least a year, if not more, and that he didn't even know her last name. Jennika, still angry, puts her hood up and keeps walking, but Silas stops her when he says he knows of a cure for mutation.
