The Burning Man is issue #64 of Tales of the TMNT volume 2, published on November 2009 by Mirage Studios. It is the fifth story of Tristan Huw Jones' Gang Wars story arc; the previous story is issue #59: Sometimes They Come Back.
Gang Wars was never finished. The previous month, Peter Laird sold the TMNT property to Viacom, and both Tales of the TMNT and the Gang War story arc were soon cancelled before Mirage Studios entered its "rampdown" phase.
The Burning Man is a serious story, but is narrated by Michelangelo with an irreverent tone throughout. Some of the scenes are shown caricaturized according to Mikey's assessment of the situation.

Synopsis[]
The Foot Clan have resurfaced long after the death of the Shredder and launch a deadly new assault on a highly respected Chinese community leader by summoning a mystic demon that not even they seem to have control over. The only one who can stop it? Michelangelo (or so he hopes)!
