Synopsis[]
The Rat King strolls along in front of the United Nations building, playing his flute for the dozens of rats who are following him. His tune includes a song about leaving the world in tatters, about chaos and apocalypse and the downfall of New York City to begin his plans.
We cut to North Brother Island as Old Hob unloads supplies and talks about the prospect of the spot becoming Mutant Island, a place of freedom for mutants. Old Hob asks Raphael what the Rat King is calling his new plan and upon hearing "The Armageddon Game", calls it a stupid name. Hob says he's not surprised at the idea of evil villains getting together to do evil, but he is surprised to learn the Turtles are teamed up with the Shredder. Raph tells him that Shredder was the one who told them that Stockman is afraid of Hob and they can use that to their advantage. Hob explains that Stockman isn't afraid of being killed by him, that he's afraid of losing everything he's built. Raph asks what that means and Hob says it means he's going to start bringing it all down, beginning with the wall. As he unloads weapons from crates, Hob says they are going to need help though. In response to Raph's question as to what kind of help, Hob tells him "the Man Ray" kind.
In New York City, the TCRI Headquarters building is under attack by the Impostor Turtles. Evading the guards, the Impostor Turtles keep track of each minute as they complete their mission and then exit the building. From nearby, they activate a remote that sets off four separate C4 explosives, making certain to take pictures of the destruction.
Meanwhile, Michelangelo, the Neutrinos, and the Nova Posse in the Freedom One navigate the Astraea Asteroid Belt in Dimension X as they pursue Torbin Zixx. Kala has brought the little sleeping Grybyx along with them, and Luna Azul reveals that the Nova Posse was contracted by Stump and Sling to retrieve the Grybyx after Zixx stole all of them from the Stump Asteroid. The Posse catches up to Zixx after his ship breaks down and he’s forced to land on an asteroid in the Astraea Asteroid Belt.
Scene switch back to North Brother Island. Raphael asks Old Hob if they do get Stockman out, Hob's not talking any more mutagen bombs. Hob says no, but Raphael is unsure as to whether he's being truthful. Raphael accesses the power taught to him by Saki and determines that Hob is telling the truth. He asks if Hob is ready to get back to Mutant Town and get to work.
Meanwhile, there is rioting in Mutant Town. Cars are on fire and people are storming the food crates. From the top of a building, Darkwater's Sergeant Winter uses binoculars to watch what is happening, while Colonel Knight pilots a spy drone over the area. Winter questions how much sense it makes for them to be at Mutant Town rather than protecting Stockman, but Knight replies that this is where the Mayor wants them. Winter says that he believes Detective Lewis is right, something stinks about the whole situation. Then he spots the four Impostor turtles leaping down from the roof of the City Hall building.
Cut to Leonardo and Oroku Saki. While Cudley transports them to Dimension Z, the pair continue with Leonardo's training. Leonardo manifests the fourth cut, revealing his Foot Clan form. He and Saki spar, then Saki tells him to return. Leonardo intones, "Evoke, then revoke." and becomes himself again. Saki tells him that his powers have advanced since Northamption, and that one of the keys to success is absolute control over the duality within. Cudley cuts in to say that he's impressed. He tells them that he is naturally drawn to those with what you might call a righteous aura about them. Some are fully established, like in Cherubae, and others, like Torbin Zixx, exist in gray areas needing only proper guidance and encouragement. He says that just because Zixx carries a black blade doesn't mean he has a black heart. Just then they cross over into Dimension Z and head towards Planet Hirobyl.
The scene switches to the asteroid belt. Zixx stands next to his disabled ship and laments having to bug out before repairs could be completed. He is suddenly accosted by his pursuers, who have their weapons trained on him. They tell him not to try to escape, as their spaceship has him outflanked, and Michelangelo indicates that he's wearing a jetpack. A shot of the interior of Zixx's ship shows several sleeping Grybyx.
Trapped, Zixx tells them that before he surrenders, he wants to tell them about his Grybyx contraband. His disabled ship is shown to hold several of the creatures. After describing their abilities, he tells the group that the greedy idiots Stump and Sling meant to stuff the Grybyx full of food and make them rip each other to pieces during the main ticket at the next Grappleganza. Illegal Grybyx cage fighting. Zixx says that a conservation group called the Caretakers hired him to get the Grybyx and take them to the exotic species sanctuary on the Mivey Meteor. Zixx stole them to save them. Though Princess Trib asks Luna Azul to reconsider capturing Zixx, but she says they aren't there to make ethical judgments and tells Exeen to cuff Zixx. This is when they find out they've been speaking to a hologram - and not only that, but Zixx has a setup that shows multiple positional readings, making it beyond difficult to find him.
Outside the still burning TCRI building, Stockman gives an interview to Burne Thompson. Stockman states that they have substantial video proof that the same four mutants who attacked his speech also attacked TCRI. He says investigators will sift through the rubble for evidence of a greater mutant conspiracy. He then excuses himself, saying he needs to return to the EPF command facility and discuss things with Director Braunze.
Stockman then walks to a waiting limousine. Inside is Madam Null, who tells him he missed his true calling as an actor. Stockman tells her that her Impostor Turtles are idiots and it's getting harder to cover their sloppiness. Null informs him that as soon as the four are no longer of use, they are disposable. They drive away, but unbeknownst to them, Detective Lewis has been watching.
Back on the asteroid, the Neutrinos and Nova Posse are having a hard time finding Zixx, instead being tricked by additional holograms and smoke mines. Michelangelo suddenly recalls Saki's training, and has an idea. He feeds the Grybyx a piece of candy and it immediately grows into a beast - all teeth and claws. Michelangelo reminds Trib that Zixx said that the Grybyx are good at tracking things and has the creature smell the blanket that Zixx had wrapped around it. Catching the scent, the Grybyx takes off, with Michelangelo using his jetpack to keep up. Zixx sees the Grybyx coming and frantically tries to finish the repairs to his ship, which he does, but too late. The Grybyx uses its telekinetic power to lift him off the ground, but to Michelangelo's horror, it becomes clear the creature means to eat Zixx.
Using his power, Michelangelo causes the Grybyx to shrink back down to its original form. Zixx hits the ground and as he sits up, finds the Nova Posse standing over him. A time jump shows Luna Azul agreeing to Princess Trib's proposal that they allow Zixx to carry out his mission to save the Grybyx. As he prepares to take his leave, Kala tries to hand over the Grybyx in her arms, but Zixx tells her to keep him, that it doesn't matter how many he actually brings to safety. They all part ways, and then Luna Azul asks Michelangelo if he's ready to go to his planet to deal with his Utrom problem. Michelangelo says he is, but hopes they aren't too late.
The scene switches to the E.P.F. Command facility in New York City. Inside, the Rat King is addressing Jasper Barlow regarding the commendable work he's done. Next to them, Leatherhead lies unconscious on an operating table, his stomach swathed in bandages. Barlow laments the physical and mental damage done to Leatherhead by what he calls an "alien parasite", but says that the healing ooze in its blood may ultimately heal Leatherhead's inside. His brain, however...
Before he can finish, he is interrupted by another speaker, who tells him to choose his words more carefully. He is not an alien parasite--- The speaker is revealed to be Krang, now inhabiting Metalhead's body. Both Krang and Metalhead speak at the same time...
"...I AM METALKRANG."
