Summary[]

Open on the four Super Turtles as Graviturtle explains that he and his brothers made a wrong turn somewhere. They are now stuck in a barren wasteland facing an assemblage of mega-foes. The enemy they face tells them that they are dead because they can’t defeat the Terrorkinetics.

The Terrorkinetics are superpowered biomechanical creations of the insane Dr. Shreddarius, the Super Turtles’ arch foe. The six, comprised of Dr. Shreddarius, Slaythereen, Frisbat, Armorgga, Gnet Gnet and K'nign, attack en masse. Slaythereen attacks with its tongue blaster, but Shellectro counters with his zappower. Gnet Gnet leaps on Griddex and sticks a micro-mine on his chest. Graviturtle urges him to quickly shrink, which he does, causing the micro-mine to fall off. Graviturtle catches the micro-mine with his gravity whip and flings it so that it explodes far from them. Griddex rushes to help Blobboid, who is being attacked by the buzzsaw capabilities of Frisbat. Growing to large size again, Griddex smashes Frisbat with one giant fist.

As K’nign starts to charge at Griddex’s exposed back, Blobboid returns the favor by globbing the robo-pooch and taking it out of commission. Shreddarius responds by unleashing a double blast of his mind-shredding force waves, causing the Turtles to clutch their heads in pain. Then Shreddarius orders Slaythereen to destroy them. However, Griddex punches Slaythereen hard enough to throw the robot into Shreddarius. Both go down and are out of the fight.

Armorgga unleashes a plasmoshred mortar at Blobboid, disrupting his mass. As he is about to fire another round, Shellectro hits Armorgga with his zappower, but it barely slows him down. Armorgga brags that this is due to his comprehensive insulation and then retaliates by firing digimissiles. Several missiles strike the ground near the Turtles, throwing them off their feet. Blobboid complains that even in blob form, the shock of the missiles nearly wiped him out. Shellectro warns Graviturtle that Armorgga is coming back. Graviturtle says he's ready for him. Using his fully-charged gravity whip, he snags Armorgga and flings him into the atmosphere, where he vanishes.

Just when the Super Turtles think they've dealt with all of the Terrorkinetics, Gnet Gnet rushes at Griddex again. This time before the robot can jump on him, Griddex smashes Gnet Gnet under one large foot. The four Super Turtles gather together and Graviturtle says for everyone to stay sharp because something isn’t right. Shellectro points out that the bad guys are all kaput, but Graviturtle says he’s been having an odd sensation for a while. It’s like they are being watched -as if whoever is looking at them is at once nearby, and also unimaginably far away.

Pan out from the Super Turtles across the mists and swirls of dimensions into an Utroms research and development lab, where an Utrom is seated at a special telescope. Fugitoid and Donatello peer into the lab and Fugitoid explains that the Utroms are constantly trying to perfect the transmat technology, as well as expand their understanding of its theoretical underpinnings. When Don comments on how intent the Utrom appears, Fugitoid says that it is young Glurin. He believes the translocation matrix has the potential to not only move objects through space, but to communicate across dimensions… and perhaps time as well.

They move on and Don asks if Fugitoid thinks they can safely flush Stockman’s nanobots out of April’s system. Fugitoid answers that nanotechnology can be very difficult to deal with, which is why the Utroms have placed nanotech high on their list of proscribed technology. They enter the lab where April is being monitored. Michelangelo is dozing in a chair near her bed while Casey talks to Robyn on the phone about her flight. Don asks one of the Utrom doctors if there is any change in April’s condition and he says that unfortunately, the nanobots have become more active. It appears that the mere act of being observed has caused the nanobots to change their behavior.

The nanobots have remained dormant withing April’s body since they were injected years earlier. When asked if they have anything to do with April’s infertility problems, the doctor responds that the data is inconclusive. However, the nanobots’ recent activity includes assaults on her brain and nervous system, leaving her comatose. Casey finishes his call and tells them Robyn was able to get a flight out. Don is glad to hear that, because though he hopes it won’t be necessary, if April needs transplants or transfusions, Robyn’s probably her best bet. Fugitoid says that as soon as April’s sister arrives, she should be genetically scanned. The Utrom adds that in rare cased, even siblings can have genetic dissimilarity.

In the kitchen at the Jones Farm, Stainless Steel Steve suggests burying Shadow’s boyfriend, Jay, in the back forty. While Splinter makes tea, he tells Stephen he knows he’s making a morbid joke, but that he’s frightening Jay. He needs to know they mean him no harm and he’s certain Jay meant no harm to them. Jay, seated in a chair with his wrists and ankles bound by Metal Head’s hair, stammers out his agreement. He claims that he was just hiking and doing some target shooting. When he realized he was near where Shadow lived, he figured… Stephen finishes the sentences by saying he figured he could do some spying to scope out his girlfriend’s home and family. Stephen says he’d believe that if he weren’t using the scope on a hunting rifle. Splinter still believes they have nothing to fear from Jay and tells Metal Head to release him. Stephen warns Jay not to run because Metal Head’s hair is faster. Splinter is sure he won’t run because he is no doubt curious as to why Shadow’s “grandfather” is a large mutant rat. He hands Jay a cup of tea and prepares to tell him a story.

Meanwhile, Robyn has arrived and asks if April can hear them. Casey says they don’t think so and then Robyn asks if there is a plan to remove the nanobots. When Raph wonders about why they don’t use their transmat gizmo to beam them out, Don says they thought of that, too and then he and Fugitoid begin a scientific explanation. Raph interrupts to say forget he asked. A Utrom doctor arrives to say they’ve finished the scans from Robyn’s tissue samples and there were some unexpected findings. He says that though Robyn is perfectly healthy and would be an excellent source of transplantable tissue, there is a greater than 99% genetic variance between her and April. What that means, he explains, is that Roby and April are not, biologically speaking, sisters.
