Synopsis[]
Back on the day of the detonation of the Mutagen bomb, a group of punk rock fans from Fort Lauderdale attempt to visit the 999 Music Hall, only to find that the venue is still closed for several hours. The group discusses what they could potentially do until they can return to 999, and Genghis and Mary chime in with their disdain for their home. Suddenly, the Mutagen Bomb's payload reaches them, mutating them all into frog people.
Back in the present, Raph finds Casey sleeping in the Church basement and asks if he's seen Donatello or Alopex. Casey says he hasn't, and Raph opens a query to his well-being, seeing how out-of-sorts he seems, as well bringing up all of the empty beer cans he saw at his place days earlier. Casey gets ticked off at his perceived condescendence and attacks him.
Meanwhile at Dr. Barlow's lab, the doctor begins reattaching Venus' limbs. After seeing how quickly her carapace is healing from the Dragon scale implanted in it, he expounds how he separately found pieces of a mutant turtle's dead carapace at a black market in Mutant Town, and her dying body, and wonders if that correlates to Donatello's destroyed carapace. He finishes with her and goes to check in on Don.
When Barlow arrives in the chamber where he, Al. and Sheena are being held, Don tries to convince him to allow them to work together to understand the Dragon scale's properties, given the experience he had. Barlow says he'll consider it, and reveals the new carapace he's been working on for Don. Don actually seems to be interested in the shell, but Al snaps him out of it and he reaches out to Venus telepathically to help him reach his brothers. Venus' astral form leads Don's astral form out of the lab and into the city.
Outside of the Church, Leo, Jenny, and Mikey gather some of their students to head into Punk Frog territory. When Leo asks where everyone is, Jenny says she hasn't seen Donnie or Alopex in a while, but Raph is still in the Church, so she goes in to fetch him. Leo suddenly gets a feeling that Don is in trouble.
Jenny finds Casey and Raph brawling in the Church basement, finding the scene amusing. She gives Casey a tip to yank on Raph's bandana, and he does, sending Raph's face to the floor. She tells them that even though they obviously have something to still work out, they have to get going. The two guys sit in silence for a bit before breaking out laughing, still obviously cross with one another but recognizing that they're acting out because of stress, as Casey relates, especially after their fathers' fates. They make up for the time being and hug it out.
Don and Venus happen upon Oroku Saki on a rooftop, surprising Don. Saki intuits that Don needs his help and says that he was drawn to Saki's strong astral presence. Don reluctantly agrees for assistance from his family's former arch-nemesis.
Saki arrives in the lab and begins freeing Alopex, who questions Don's judgement. Don protests that finding Saki wasn't his intention, but they take their chance to get out, with Alopex kicking Barlow hard enough to knock him unconscious and loosen out some teeth.
Raph meets up with Casey, Hector, Wanda, Carmen, and Raph's deputy, a mutant moose named Monty. Leo says he thinks Don tried reaching him astrally, and the Turtles wonder if there's a common thread between Sheena, Bonnie, Al, and Don all missing - although they think that the Frogs are potentially to blame. After Jenny deduces that the Punk Frogs were probably actually into the real punk movement, she sees the 999 Music Hall and correctly surmises that they are hiding out there. Leo radios Raph and has his group join them.
The two groups bust into the music hall and attack, with Raph questioning where Alopex and Donatello are. Genghis says he has no idea, and Raph responds with declaring that they're all under arrest, under orders from Mayor Pride. The Splinter Clan and Punk Frogs continue to fight, and Genghis cuts Carmen across her stomach, leading Leo to cry out for her.
Back at the lab, Don pulls Venus out of her restraints and the four mutants make their escape, but are met by Chuck and D.B. They battle the two until Venus telepathically blasts Chuck, knocking him out. This creates enough of an opening for them to push past D.B. and finally out of the clinic. As they continue running, suddenly Venus senses something incoming. They move out of the way just in time for Seri to crash into the clinic.
