Synopsis[]

April, lying in the Splinter Dōjō infimary, sees the alert Stockman made declaring her mutagenically contagious, thus confining her to Mutant Town. Raph takes Mike aside and tells him that he wants to attend Sally's mayoral rally and shirks his "babysitting" duties. He goes to escape Mutant Town so he can have Casey come along; however, he fails to notice the weasels and Lita sneaking out of the dōjō behind him.

Raph arrives at Casey's place and find him slightly injured and the entire apartment in disarray, including multiple empty beer cans sitting around. Casey makes a joke about Alopex that Raph finds distasteful, and the two argue, with Casey stating that he never sees Raph anymore because of Al. Raph leaves in anger and punches a vent on the roof.

The mutant children run into Lola Cruz, the reporter that Lita and Mike had met before after she had snuck into Mutant Town. Lola apologizes for coming on strong before, and tells Lita that she's looking for the dōjō after having heard Michelangelo's radio broadcast. Two Mutanimal enforcers, a water buffalo and a mandrill, spot Lola and advance on her. The children attack to defend her, with Zink stabbing a the buffalo in the leg and Mushroom tranquilizing the mandrill with a blow dart.

Night and Stone round the corner and see the weasels, shooting them up with tranquilizers. Night shoots Lola with a pistol, leaving her to bleed out on the sidewalk, and drags the unconscious mandrill away while Stone nets up the kids.

At the rally, Leo worries that the large grouping is going to attract the attention of someone dangerous. Sally takes the megaphone Wanda gave Mike and begins to address the crowd, and Old Hob, Bandit, and Puggle watching from a window. The latter two express their fondness for Sally and wish they could have attended the rally personally.

Raph suddenly sees the silhouette of someone on a rooftop with a sniper rifle, and scales the fire escape to find a mutant gharial taking aim on the crowd. He takes out the rifle with a sai, and disarms the gharial of their knife. As the sniper passes out from Raph's full nelson chokehold, a voice comes comes over their walkie talkie instructing them to take out Pride if possible, getting the gathering to disperse and that the civilians are expendable.

On his own walkie talkie, Raph tells Leo of the sniper and he spots another one on an adjacent rooftop, a doberman mutant. Before he can react though, Oroku Saki takes them out with a single shutō. He tells Leo of another, and Leo goes to take down the rooster that Raph alerted him of. Gunfire rings out from another sniper, hitting several citizens, with Don taking that one out. However, he sees Mutanimal enforcers approaching the crowd and warns Mikey over the radio.

Hob is now furious and asks Herman what is going on, as he ordered no attack. Herman says that Man Ray did, and he assumed Hob gave Ray the directive. Hob insists that Herman pull the enforcers back.

With several of their own injured, Leo tells the Splinter Clan students to pull back and go home. Amy, Raph, Jennika, and Sheena convince him that they have to face the Mutanimals, as this is what they've been training for. Reluctantly, Leo accepts their will and leads them into battle.
