Trivia[]
- The cover by Hal Laren homages the Mirage TMNT story "The Turtles' Origin is Told".
- Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird are on the cover by Jon Sommariva.
- Of the characters at the support group, only the ant, the chicken and the hippopotamus had no previously established names at the time of the issue's publication. When later asked, writer Sophie Campbell said the ant's name is Wanda, the chicken's name is Siobhan, and the hippo's name is Hector. When she remembered she had already assigned the name Siobhan to one of the members of After the Bomb, she changed the chicken's name to Veronica. She also said that it was the issue's artist Jodi Nishijima who had selected these three characters to appear, reusing background characters who had first appeared in previous issues. Hector first appeared at Alopex's shelter in TMNT #101, and Wanda and Siobhan first appeared at Splinter Clan dōjō classes in TMNT #105.[1]
