Season 5 of the 1987 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles TV series originally over CBS on Saturday mornings between 14 September and 16 November 1991. It totally consists of 20 episodes.

The season is characterized by the Technodrome being located in the Arctic, after crashing there in the season opener "My Brother, the Bad Guy" when Shredder and Krang send it from the Volcanic Asteroid in Dimension X towards Earth but Donatello manages to change its course. The Technodrome then stays in the Arctic for the rest of the season and ocean again, Shredder, Krang, Bebop and Rocksteady have to rely on the Transport Modules for traveling between the Technodrome and New York City.

Just like the previous season, some of the episodes has one of the Turtles getting separated from the others and ends up on a solo-adventure, usually with someone else, while other episodes sees all four Turtles facing Shredder and Krang.

Season 5 also includes the "Planet of the Turtleoids" double episode.
