Season 4 of the 1987 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles TV series originally aired in broadcast syndication and CBS on Mondays to Friday afternoons between 8 September 1990 and 29 March 1991. It totally consists of 41 episodes and switched from broadcast syndication to CBS during mid–season. A new title sequence makes its first appearance on the first CBS episode.

The season is characterized by the Technodrome being located on the Volcanic Asteroid in Dimension X, where it remains throughout the rest of the season.

In some of the episodes, one of the Turtles gets separated from the others and ends up on a solo-adventure, usually with someone else. Other episodes sees all four Turtles facing Shredder and Krang.

Many episodes of the season has scenes taking place in rural USA, often introducing many mansions.

The Vacation in Europe sideseason, which takes place during season 4 and therefore has the Technodrome located on the Volcanic Asteroid, was also produced even if it didn't air until later, and production-wise it is considered part of Season 7.
