Bebop and Rocksteady after returning to Earth in Enter The Fly

Season 2 of the 1987 TV series originally aired in broadcast syndication on Saturday mornings between 1 October and 24 December 1988. It totally consists of 13 episodes, including the Eye of Sarnath Tetralogy.

The season is characterized by the Technodrome being located on a rocky world in Dimension X until Shredder and Krang bring the Technodrome to Earth in "Return of the Technodrome", which is the final episode of the season, using the Niagara Falls hydroelectric power station.

When Shredder returns to Earth in "Return of the Shredder", he first teams up with Baxter Stockman, as Krang refuses to send Bebop and Rocksteady to Earth. In "Enter The Fly", Shredder later sends Baxter Stockman to the Technodrome, while Krang returns Bebop and Rocksteady to Earth. Baxter Stockman is turned into a giant fly following an accident when Krang tries to exterminate him in the Technodrome Disintegrator Chamber.

Season 2 is also the season where Irma is introduced, and befriends the Turtles.
