Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: New Animated Adventures is a comic series of the TMNT franchise published by IDW Publishing based on the 2012 TV series.

Publication lasted between July 2013 and June 2015.

Production history and plot overview

Similar to the classic Archie Comics New Animated Adventures, is a consistent marketing project to the successful broadcasting of the TV series, which fills an additional niche in the comic market. Although the series closely follows the plot of the TV 2012 series in regard to the evolution of the characters, it can only be regarded as a collection of supplementary, not essential to the plot of the series side stories.

The first issue of New Animated Adventures was published in May 2013 as part of Free Comic Day. Two months later, on July 10, 2013, was the publication of the regular book series. The series ran until the summer of 2015 with a total circulation of 24 issues, until the series stopped because of declining sales figures and a new series titled Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Amazing Adventures replaced it.

This series is not to be confused with the comic magazine Nickelodeon Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, which Panini Comics publishing exclusively for the European market and although follows similar directions, has no connection with New Animated Adventures.
