The Ninja Turtles have broken out of the locked-down neighborhood of Manhattan known as Mutant Town, but which Ninja Turtles? As all new mutants terrorize NYC, enemies and allies of the TMNT prepare for a confrontation greater than any that has come before: the Rat King's diabolical Armageddon Game! The TMNT event of 2022 starts on Free Comic Book Day!

Synopsis[]
Four mutant turtles - "Donatello", "Leonardo", "Michelangelo", and "Raphael", have escaped the walls of Mutant Town and are cornered by the Earth Protection Force. Venus observes the battle from a rooftop, watching the Turtles make short work of the E.P.F. When the NYPD arrive, the Turtles have scattered and they find only the bodies of the E.P.F. As Venus wonders what's going on, the visage of the Rat King appears behind her.
Notes and trivia[]
- This story mirrors the first Mirage issue's battle between the Ninja Turtles and Purple Dragons as much as possible using the players involved. Venus narrates instead of Leonardo.
- These "Ninja Turtles" have a different weapon assortment than the usual - "Leonardo" has sai, "Donatello" has nunchaku, "Michelangelo" has katana, and "Raphael" has a bō.
- The story is followed by the pages of Mirage #1 that it mimics.
