Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Arcade Attack is a video game developed by Ubisoft for the Nintendo DS. It is a 2D brawler with 3D graphics and a slightly isometric (3/4) view. The game's cutscenes were written by Sam Regal, voice of Donatello in the 2003 animated series.
Like many other video games based on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, the game borrows elements from multiple incarnations. The bulk of the game takes after the 2003 animated series, especially its final two seasons, Fast Forward and Back to the Sewer, but also includes nods to the original comics from Mirage Studios, particularly in the cutscenes, which use modified Eastman and Laird art.
The plot is set after the Turtles return from 2105. Cyber Shredder, in this continuity a future incarnation of the Turtles' greatest enemy, sends a Golden Foot Ninja back to the present day in order to test his time-traveling device. This ignites a journey for the Turtles to stop Cyber Shredder from coming into their time.
