Changes: Techno Cosmic Research Institute

T.C.R.I, Techno Cosmic Research Institute was created by the Utroms who crashed landed on earth. Their original branch was in Japan, but one of the Guardians betrayed the Utroms to the Shredder, they withdrew to New York in North America. During a fateful day, a company truck had lost a container of mutagen into the sewers, while at the same time, four baby turtles also went into the sewers. The building was under attack by the army and the Shredder in recent years, causing the Ultroms to return back to their home world

In the second movie it was changed to T.G.R.I: Techno Global Research Industries as the production was not supposed to have anything to do with aliens.
