TMNT: Overload

TMNT: Overload was a rejected pitch for a follow-up season to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Fast Forward. It was drawn up by 4Kids Entertainment and approved by Mirage Studios, but shot down by Playmates Toys.

The series would have seen villainous shenanigans tamper with the Turtles' trip home from 2105, landing them in the vicinity of their past selves, and then bringing all eight Turtles to the year 2008.

Playmates rejected the pitch on the grounds that they feared that their target market would be "confused" by two sets of Turtles running around, and that the young turtles would be "anti-aspirational".[1]
