The TCRI submarine is a small submarine belonging to the Techno Cosmic Research Institute. It is a two seater, with standing room for two additional passengers. It appears in the Saturday Morning Adventures comics.
History[]
After the adventures in The Turtle King, Part Two, the Turtles return the Psychological warfare enhanced battle suits they "borrowed" from TCRI. They apologize to Professor McGuffin who says that no harm was done and that Dr. North will be please to know the equipment functioned so well. Then Professor McGuffin asks for their help in retrieving an underwater probe from the ocean. He has them take a TCRI submarine so they can locate the probe. Almost at once they are grabbed by a mechanical squid, which damages their navigation equipment. The squid delivers the sub to Turtlantis, an underwater city filled with friendly inhabitants. They agree to return the probe, but ask for the Turtles' help first. As it turns out, they have to try to defeat Slash in the arena in order the make him leave the city. When he proves too tough for them, Donatello has the idea to flood the city, to which the leaders agree. The Turtles make it to the sub and jump inside just as the city floods. Unfortunately, Slash chased them and clings to the sub as it zooms out of the city. He starts punching the sub, denting the hull, and Don takes the craft into a roll to shake him off, which it does. Then Don heads west in order to hit the coast, because the navigation equipment doesn't work.
