T.J. Shevlin is the chief scientist of the Earth Protection Force in the IDW comics. He was responsible for the project that turned Slash into a weapon for the E.P.F., and accompanied Agent Bishop into the field to oversee the attack on the Mutanimals. He planned to perform a similar procedure on the rest of the Mutanimals (excepting Pete), but was interrupted by the escape of Sally Pride and Mondo Gecko.
When the base went into lockdown, Shevlin hid in the men's room. He was found by a camouflaged Mondo, who knocked him unconscious and took his security pass.
After presumably being found, Shevlin accompanied Bishop to the hostage situation with Old Hob, where he unleashed Slash in order to free Bishop from the Mutanimals.
