Raphael "Uh, wrong show."
Woman "Help!"
Leonardo "Someone's in trouble!"
[Inside a candy store, an elderly female cashier is menaced by a gang.]
Woman "Help! Please, someone, help me! Ohh! No!"
[She sobs as one of the gang throws a baseball at her front window. Leonardo catches it before it hits the glass.]
Leonardo "Is this a private game, or can anyone play?"
Gang "Yah!"
[The turtles meet their attack, destroying their baseball bats.]
Gang "Mmhh! Whoa!"
Michelangelo "You dudes know you're not supposed to play ball inside."
[Michelangelo pulls on his turtle line, which is wrapped around a thug, and tosses him outside.]
Gang Member "Uhh! Aaahh!"
[Raphael faces off with a gang member. The cashier shoves a jar onto the gang member’s head.]
Donatello "Good work, ma'am."
Raphael "Hey, this could be the start of a new flavor; ‘punk in a jar’."
[They pick the guy up, toss him to Leonardo and Michelangelo, who then toss him outside. The cashier hands out candy to the turtles.]
Michelangelo "Thank you, ma'am. Candy is mondo dandy."
[An elderly man watches April O’Neil’s news report from the candy store on his television.]
April O’Neil "In rescuing this little old lady from a gang of vicious punks, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles have shown once more that they are this city's own superheroes. This is April O'Neil for Channel 6 News."
Gadgetman "Turtles? Phooey. They aren't real superheroes."
[He pulls a lever on the arm of his easy chair and a mechanical hand shoots out to turn off the TV and then lower a movie screen.]
Gadgetman "Folks nowadays don't know what real superheroes are."
[A film begins to play, showing a mild-mannered man. He passes a woman and tips his hat and then another man runs up to grab the woman’s purse. Woman: Ahh! The mild-mannered man darts into an alley and reappears as ‘Gadgetman’.]
Gadgetman "Why, when I was younger and someone was in trouble I was Gadgetman! Evildoers everywhere lived in fear of my amazing gadgets.
Gadgetman was the hero of the day. But teenage mutant ninja turtles are all they talk about now. A bunch of hard-shelled half-pints. Is it too late for me? No. It's not too late.
Gadgetman is back!"
[He uses different gadgets to capture the thief.]

Sure, we'll do a story on you. Uh, what's your address, sir?"
[He’s throwing darts at a picture of Michelangelo.]

[Leaving the Channel 6 news van parked outside, April conducts an interview with Gadgetman at his home.]
April "This is April O'Neil for Channel 6's, “Where Are They Now?” I'm here interviewing the once-famous superhero-- Gadgetman. Why don't you show our audience some of your crime-fighting gadgets, Gadgetman?"
Gadgetman "Uh, they're a little rusty after all this time. This is my egg-beater helicopter.
Whoa! Needs a little oil.
My pursuit boots. Ha! They put a real spring in my step.
Ohh! Whoa!"
[He turns the handle and the spinning rotors lift him to the ceiling, but then they fail and he falls.]

[He chuckles.]

[He puts springs on the bottoms of his boots, bounces off the wall, and crashes into the ceiling, where he’s stuck.]

April "And that's Gadgetman-- yesterday's superhero. This is April O'Neil for Channel 6's, “Where Are They Now?”"
[Inside the Technodrome on Dimension X, Rocksteady and Bebop watch the broadcast on a large monitor.]
Bebop "I used to like that Gadgetman. He'd always catch the bad guy."
[Shredder turns the monitor off.]
Shredder "Need I remind you numbskulls that you're the bad guys?"
Rocksteady "Oh, yeah. We forgot."
Shredder "Come on. Krang has something to show us."
Krang "My latest invention, the power vacuum. With this, I can draw enough power from Earth to free the Technodrome from the lava and this asteroid's grip and return to Earth as a conqueror."
Shredder "That's wonderful, Krang."
Krang "The power vacuum cannot draw enough energy from so great a distance. The signal needs amplifying."
Shredder "Why do I think that this is where I come in?"
Krang "I need you and your mutants to place these power vacuum amplifiers in these three power plants while I get the power vacuum running."
[Red dots on the screen show the location of the power plants.]
Shredder "The turtles are sure to learn of the drain on the city's power plants."
Krang "We'll deal with that when the time comes."
[He opens a trans-dimensional portal and Shredder, Bebop, and Rocksteady enter. On Earth, workers make repairs to a bridge beam. A sign warns motorists “Warning Lane Closed”. Suddenly a bus carrying children veers off the road, busts through the guard rail, and teeters on the edge of the bridge. Children scream as workers race to the bus. Cut to the turtles’ lair, where the four turtles are sitting at their kitchen table playing a game with slices of pizza.]
Michelangelo "I call you, dude. One pepperoni with pickles."
Leonardo "I see that and raise you two mushroom and arugulas."
Raphael "Uhh! I hope I don't win this hand. Arugula gags me."
[Leonardo’s turtlecom beeps and he sets his pizza face down on the table.]
Leonardo "No fair peeking at my topping, fellas. Hi, April. What's up?"
April "Shredder and his mutants have been seen at City Power Plant Number One!"
Leonardo "We're on our way!"
[They jump up from the table and run, but Michelangelo pauses to peek at Leonardo’s pizzas.]
Michelangelo "No way you could beat a pair of pepperoni and fudge sauces with that hand, dude."
[Cut to the Gadgetman driving his van. It is making popping and knocking sounds.]
Gadgetman "Gotta get this thing tuned up.
Holy smoke! What's that? That bus is about to fall off the bridge!
And it's got kids in it! This looks like a job for Gadgetman!"
[He comes to a quick stop upon seeing a crowd on the bridge.]

[Gasps.]

[He pulls forward quickly, scattering people and he screeches to a stop. A hub cap falls off and rolls into the river. Gadgetman, in full costume, flings open the backdoors of the van and one of them falls off. He jumps out of the van, trips and falls, and then quickly gets up.]
Gadgetman "Uhh! Never fear! Gadgetman is here! Now to find the right gadget to save those kids."
[He fits a plunger into a bow and fires it at the bus. The plunger sticks to the front of the bus, with Gadgetman holding the rope that’s attached to it.]
Crowd "Wow!"
Gadgetman "Uh, I-- I did it!
Uhh!"
[He fastens the rope to a guardrail and then starts climbing up.]
Uhh!"
Crowd "Ooh!"
[The turtles arrive in the turtle van and come to a screeching stop.]
Leonardo "Oh, no! That bus is about to go off the bridge!"
Raphael "What about Shredder?"
Leonardo "He'll just have to wait."
Michelangelo "Bodacious, dudes! It's Gadgetman's van!"
Raphael "All right! Who's Gadgetman?"
Leonardo "That's Gadgetman."
Donatello "And he's tryin' to rescue those kids!"
[Gadgetman is panting and struggling as he climbs the rope.]
Gadgetman "Al-Almost there.
Yeeeooowww! Oomp!
Got it!"
[The rope snaps.]
Yeeeooowww! Oomp!
[He catches the bumper of the bus and is dangling over the water. The children scream.]
Got it!"
[The turtles look over the bridge at the point where the bus is dangling.]
Raphael "Oh, swell. Now we gotta rescue that rescuer."
Michelangelo "No problemo, dude."
[Michelangelo swings his turtle line and hooks a beam.]
Donatello "You better hurry. His weight is pulling the bus further over!"
Raphael "We're on our way!"
[He and Michelangelo rappel down on their turtle lines.]
Gadgetman "Gotta get--uh! a better grip!"
[The bus teeters farther forward under his weight. The crowd gasps and the children scream.]
Gadgetman "I-- I can't hold on much longer."
Michelangelo "Hang on, dude! We'll save you!"
Raphael "Always the optimist, eh, Michelangelo?"
Leonardo "That bus is gonna fall any second! And that guy's weight is gonna pull it over!"
Donatello "I've got an idea. We'll use the turtle van roof cannon."
Leonardo "I get it-- to shoot the turtle cable over the bridge supports! Come on! Let's go!"
[They hop into the turtle van. Leonardo backs into position and Donatello aims the cannon. He fires two cables over the bridge supports. They dangle just in front of the bus.]
Donatello "Hook those cables onto the bus bumper!"
Michelangelo "Will do, dude!"
[He swings over, grabs the cables, and hooks them to the bumper.]
Michelangelo "Uhh! Got it!
I got you, Gadget dude. Haul away, Donatello!"
[He swings over again and catches hold of Gadgetman.]

Donatello "Okay, Leonardo drive!"
[The van motor races and tires screech. As the van moves, the bus is pulled to safety. The crowd cheers. Raphael and Michelangelo climb up on the turtles lines. Michelangelo is carrying Gadgetman.]
Donatello "Nice try, Gadgetman, but, uh, let us do the rescuing next time, huh?"
Leonardo "You put those kids in more danger with that gadget of yours."
Gadgetman "I could've saved those kids. You turtles just got in the way.
Uhh!"
[He trips over a rope and falls on his face.]
Uhh!"
[The crowd starts laughing. He climbs into his van and drives away to the sound of backfires.]
Raphael "Whoa. That guy's a menace."
Michelangelo "Lighten up, Raphael. The dude was just tryin' to help."
[Krang has observed the rescue on his monitor. He switches channels so that he can speak to Shredder.]
Krang "Shredder! Stop what you're doin'!"
Shredder "What is it, Krang?"
Krang "I have just discovered the solution to our problem."
Shredder "Let me guess. You created intelligent mutants."
Krang "Ahh, better!
That so-called superhero will keep the turtles occupied while you finish the link up to the power vacuum."
[He plays back the Gadgetman’s embarrassing encounter on the bridge.]

[Shredder arrives at Gadgetman’s home.]
Gadgetman "Who-- Who are you?"
Shredder "My card. I'm a superhero agent. I want to represent you."
Gadgetman "I don't need an agent."
Shredder "Listen, kid, I saw you on TV today. You need me."
Gadgetman "It was that bad?"
Shredder "Worse. But let me tell you what I'll do. I'll stage a fake crime-- a, uh, photo opportunity. And you show up and stop it."
Gadgetman "Well, that's dishonest."
Shredder "What better way to show those adolescent turtles who is the real superhero in this city?"
Gadgetman "Mmm. I'll do it."
Shredder "Wonderful! Hey, stick with me, and Gadgetman's name will be splashed all over this city."
[The turtles have returned to their lair and are reporting to Master Splinter.]
Leonardo "And by the time we got to the power plant, Shredder was gone, Master Splinter."
Splinter "Perhaps Shredder is behind this so-called Gadgetman."
Michelangelo "No way, Sensei. Gadgetman used to be an all-time good guy."
Donatello ""Used to be," Michelangelo. Who knows what he's become since then?"
Raphael "I know. Fat. What's this?"
[He points at the TV screen which is showing an image of a bank.]
Reporter "And in other news, an escaped hostage reports that a mutant warthog and a mutant rhino are holding up a 5th National Bank."
Leonardo "That's Rocksteady and Bebop!"
Donatello "I don't get it. Robbing banks isn't their style."
Raphael "Yeah. Nowadays, we leave that job to the bankers."
[They leave the lair. Meanwhile, Gadgetman arrives at the bank in his beat up van. He runs towards the entrance, where inside, Bebop and Rocksteady are robbing the place at gunpoint.]
Rocksteady "Oh, take your time, Bebop. We got to wait for this Gadgetman guy."
Bebop "Right."
[Gadgetman bursts through the door, breathing heavily. He pants between words.]
Gadgetman "Stop, evildoers. Tremble with fear, for Gadgetman is here."
Bank Teller 1 "Who is that?"
Bank Teller 2 "I don't know but he could stand to lose some weight."
[Rocksteady communicates with Shredder via comlink.]
Rocksteady "Gadgetman is here, boss."
Shredder "Good. Pretend to resist, then let him grab you."
Gadgetman "Surrender, or taste the b-bitterness of defeat."
Rocksteady "Oh, big deal. We taste that all the time.
I fear the jig is up."
[Both laugh.]

Bebop "And that's the end of that."
Gadgetman "It's time to wrap you two up for the police.
Oops. Gotta get that fixed."
[He presses a button on his tool belt and rope pops out and falls to the ground.]

[He and Bebop tie themselves up.]
Gadgetman "Gee. Thanks.
Call the police. Shucks, just doin' what any superhero would do, folks."
[People in bank start cheering.]

[The turtles arrive in their van as the police take the two mutants away. Gadgetman stands on the curb talking to some children and signing autographs.]
Raphael "I don't believe it! Gadgetman captured Rocksteady and Bebop!"
[Inside the Technodrome, Krang speaks to the Shredder as he completes his mission at a power plant. The workers are tied up nearby.]
Krang "It's working, Shredder! It's working! Those turtles are so busy trying to figure out why your mutants are robbing a bank, they've completely forgotten about you!"
Shredder "Good. Now leave me alone. I must finish this power vacuum link up."
Krang "Very well. Just remember to get Rocksteady and Bebop out of jail."
[Bebop and Rocksteady are hauled away in a police transport van.]
Michelangelo "See? I told you dudes Gadgetman was numero uno."
Leonardo "Maybe he was once. But he's out of shape now. He couldn't grab Bebop and Rocksteady unless they wanted him to."
Donatello "Why would they want to do that? Unless... unless Shredder was trying to keep us from tracking him to another power plant!"
Leonardo "Where, Donatello?"
[Donatello checks his tracking device.]
Donatello "It looks like the Eastside Power Plant."
[Gadgetman watches them drive away.]
Gadgetman "It's those turtles. I'll bet they're going to a real crime."
[Sitting in her Channel 6 news van, April watches the turtles and then Gadgetman drive by.]
April "The turtles and Gadgetman? This has gotta be a great story!"
[April turns to follow them. Upon arriving at the power plant, the turtles burst through the door, weapons drawn.]
Turtles "Turtle—"
Donatello "--power?"
[Shredder is standing there, ready for them. He is accompanied by several Foot soldiers.]
Shredder "You turtles are so predictable."
Leonardo "So are you, Shredder!"
Raphael ""So are you, Shredder"? Let somebody else handle the snappy comebacks, Leonardo."
Leonardo "Okay. How about "Let's get 'em"?"
Turtles "Hi~yah!"
[The turtles leap into battle, quickly taking out the Foot.]
Michelangelo "Now it's your turn, Shred-head."
Gadgetman "Never fear! Gadgetman is here! Hooah! Ooh!"
[He swings through the glass window and his rope breaks. He lands on top of the turtles.]
Shredder "Gadgetman to the rescue. Ha ha ha ha!"
Raphael "Ready to give up yet, Shredder?"
Shredder "Tie them to that generator.
Oh, I have to run. Too bad you turtles won't be here to watch Krang and I make history, but when this generator reaches "overload," you will be history. Ha ha ha ha!"
[The turtles are trussed up against the generator. Shredder pulls a lever on the control panel and then breaks it off.]

[Shredder leads Gadgetman out of the power plant.]
Gadgetman "What... what happened?"
Shredder "Just another photo opportunity."
Gadgetman "I thought the turtles were coming to fight a crime."
Shredder "No, it was just me. We're old friends. Now, come on. Gadgetman has a date with destiny."
[April arrives at the power plant as the pair leave in Gadgetman’s van.]
April "I just hope I'm in time to get some shots of the turtles in action.
Yep, I'm in time."
[She runs inside and sees the tied-up turtles.]
Yep, I'm in time."
Donatello "Get out, April! This generator is about to overload any second!"
Leonardo "And Shredder destroyed the power switch. You can't turn it off."
April "Never say "can't" to a reporter!"
[She runs around to the back of the generator and unplugs it.]
Donatello "Oh, it's working. How'd you turn off the generator?"
April "I unplugged it."
Raphael "What do you expect? It's a cartoon."
Leonardo "We've got to find out what Shredder is doing at these power plants."
Donatello "Let's get back to the lair. Maybe I can figure it out."
April "I'm going to Channel 6. You guys call me if there's a hot story."
Raphael "Right! Or we need rescuing again."
Leonardo "Shredder took Gadgetman with him. It's possible they're working together!"
Raphael "Boy! Rocksteady, Bebop, and now Gadgetman! Shredder really has an eye for talent."
[Gadgetman waits at his van in an alley behind the jailhouse. Shredder breaks open the back door and exits with his two mutant cronies.]
Rocksteady "Thanks for gettin' us out, Boss."
Bebop "Uh, yeah. I look terrible in horizontal stripes."
Gadgetman "Wait a minute. Are you sure you bailed these guys out?
What's that?"
[An alarm goes off.]
What's that?"
Shredder "It's just an emergency somewhere. Now, hurry!"
Rocksteady "Right, Boss."
[They all jump into Gadgetman’s van and speed away.]
Police Officer "Hey! That was Gadgetman! He's breaking the same crooks out of jail that he just put in!"
[Shredder and his mutants stand outside of Gadgetman’s apartment building with him.]
Gadgetman "So, uh, when do I start doing supermarket openings?"
Shredder "I'll call you."
[A news report comes over the van’s radio.]
Reporter "In a daring last-minute escape, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles narrowly averted disaster today at City Power Plant Number Two."
Shredder "Those cursed turtles! Here. If those turtles try to get in the way of Gadgetman's crime fighting, use this."
[He hands Gadgetman a spherical object.]
Gadgetman "Wait a minute. I'm a superhero. I don't want to hurt the turtles."
Shredder "It won't hurt them. It, uh, will temporarily immobilize them."
Gadgetman "Well, if you're sure it won't hurt 'em."
Shredder "Trust me. Oop! Gotta run. Be in touch."
Gadgetman "But-- but wait! I don't have your phone number!"
Rocksteady "That was nice of you to give Gadgetman a new gadget, boss."
Bebop "Yeah, it sure was. Are you feelin' okay?"
Shredder "I'm feeling fine because as soon as Gadget Man uses that device on the turtles, it will be the end of them. Ha ha ha ha!"
[Inside his home, Gadgetman adjusts the dial on the TV and tunes into April’s report.]
April "And police report that this daring daylight jailbreak was led by none other than Gadgetman!"
Gadgetman "What?! That Shredder lied to me! Now all my fans, the kids who believed in me, they'll think Gadgetman is a criminal! My career is over. No. I can't let them down.
Gadgetman won't let them down!"
[He opens his closet and takes out his costume.]

[The turtles are back in their lair.]
Donatello "There it is. These periodic bursts of high-frequency rays are coming from two of the city's power plants."
Leonardo "They're the same two power plants that Shredder visited."
Splinter "I suspect that Krang is again attempting to dislodge the Technodrome from that asteroid."
Michelangelo "I'll bet you're right, Master Splinter. And he's using city power to do it!"
Donatello "Yeah, but two power plants won't provide enough energy. I can triangulate the likely third power source. There it is! The third power plant!"
Leonardo "Let's go, turtles! We've got to stop Shredder!"
Splinter "Be careful, my students."
[Shredder, Bebop, and Rocksteady prepare the third power plant.]
Bebop "It's all set, boss."
Rocksteady "Me, too, boss."
Shredder "The link up is complete, Krang."
Krang "It's about time! What about those turtles?"
Shredder "If they come, I'm ready for them."
Krang "The Technodrome is about to arrive on Earth. Establishing link now!"
Leonardo "The lights are dimming."
Donatello "That means Krang has already started draining the power."
Michelangelo "Step on it, dude."
[The turtles burst through the door of the power plant.]
Turtles "Turtle—"
Donatello "...power?"
[Beams from several lamps hit them and a forcefield forms around the turtles.]
Raphael "Didn't we do this already?"
Leonardo "It's a forcefield."
Shredder "Oh, I have you now, turtles."
Leonardo "You can't win, Shredder."
Shredder "I have already won. Look."
[The third power beam shoots into the sky, joining the other two. One large beam shoots from them through a portal and into the Technodrome.]
Krang "Wonderful! The power vacuum works! I need more power, Shredder, more power!"
Shredder "Soon, the Technodrome will return to Earth."
[Gadgetman drives through an overhead door, slides to a stop, and jumps out of his van.]
Gadgetman "Shredder, I wanted to thank you for getting my career going again."
Shredder "I, uh, well—"
Gadgetman "Excellent. You're setting up another crime for me to fight, ha, ha, ha. This one with the turtles as criminals."
Raphael "Is, uh, he nuts?"
Donatello "I don't think so."
Gadgetman "Well, let's see what this does to them."
[He takes the spherical object from the van and activates it.]
Shredder "No! No!"
[A red beam shoots from the device, hits the forcefield, and destroys it.]
Leonardo "The force field is gone."
Donatello "Thanks, Gadgetman."
Michelangelo "All right, Gadget Dude! I knew you were a good guy."
Shredder "You re-wired my Turtle destruction device!"
Gadgetman "Right! The gadget hasn't been made that Gadgetman can't figure out."
[He tosses the sphere at Shredder. It blows up and the smoke momentarily incapacitates the evil doers.]
Donatello "I'll stop this power drain. You guys take care of the villains!"
Rocksteady "We'll get those shell backs, boss."
[They start firing at the turtles. Michelangelo uses his turtle line to pull the weapons from their hands.]
Michelangelo "No way, dude."
Rocksteady "Hey, give us back our weapons."
Shredder "Krang, open a portal!"
Krang "Of course, Shredder."
[The trio hop through the portal before the turtles can grab them.]
Leonardo "They got away again."
Raphael "What, after a hundred episodes you expected something different?"
Donatello "I can't let Krang launch the Technodrome. Maybe this thing can receive energy as well as send it."
[On the asteroid, the Technodrome starts to lift off.]
Krang "The Technodrome is moving! You have done well, Shredder, for once."
Shredder "Of course, now turn off the portal before those turtles follow us."
Krang "In a minute."
Donatello "I've done it! This re-wired relay will send a negative ion stream through the portal and draw the energy back here."
[He presses a button and the power flow reverses. Inside the Technodrome, all react in surprise as they are zapped in the process. They all start to glow.]
All "Ah! Oh, my! Oh, no! Yow! Aah~"
Shredder "All the power is gone! This is all your fault, Krang. You left the portal on!"
Krang "This wouldn't have happened if you had dealt with the turtles."
[They start yelling at the same time.]
Shredder "Yeah, yeah, well, same to you, buddy!"
Krang "It’s all your fault!"
Shredder "I don't know what you're talking about!"
Krang "If you knew—"
Shredder "Look, I've been working for this--"
Bebop "Let's get out of here."
Rocksteady "Yeah, I hate these scenes of mutual recrimination."
[A group of reporters, police, and city officials stand in front of Gadgetman’s apartment building. Inside his home are more reporters and officials. April in on-scene to report.]
April "And so once more the city honors Gadgetman, whose ingenuity saved us from inter-dimensional villains. The mayor is now presenting Gadgetman with the key to the city."
Gadgetman "Thank you, Mr. Mayor, but I'd like to announce that I'm retiring once and for all from crime fighting.
It's time for a younger generation to take over, and the city couldn't ask for better crime fighters than the Meenage Nutant Injured Murtles, uh, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, I'm sorry, I always have trouble with that."
[Crowd murmuring.]
