The Sunshine Safari Park is located somewhere in the deep southern United States. It is a large property once operated as a drive-in tourist attraction where visitors were able to view free roaming animals. The park has been closed for business, but still has several buildings throughout the property.

History[]

After Donatello is kidnapped, he is taken to the Sunshine Safari Park and kept in a stockade cell along with a number of other mutants. The mutant cages surround an area called a pit, which is just an arena with a dirt floor. The pit and cells are separated from a guard station by a tall fence topped with razor wire, all of which is located in a large building on the park grounds. Additional security consists of steel doors at the entrance and a computer operated fire hose aimed at the interior fence. The captive mutants are forced to participate in an illegal mutant fighting pit. Donnie has been fighting in the pit for months and defeated many opponents. The cost for a hunter to face the mutant of his or her choice is two-thousand dollars for five minutes safari time. If the hunter is unable to finish their safari (kill the mutant), the mutant goes back into their pen. Another round costs another two-thousand dollars. Donatello is determined to make certain he is the one chosen, as all of the mutants are poorly treated, underfed, and don't have the ability to defend themselves. After each fight, Don has the opportunity to study the security systems for a minute before the guards threaten to turn the hose on him. Grit & A Stick
